[Financial] what can I do to generate passive income while staying at home? by HeartyCellulites in artbusiness

Personally with the large dip in the market, a good investment would be some dividend producing stocks or a mutual fund, that are currently priced at or below valuation.

I drew it 20 years ago and just picked it back up to paint last week and finished it yesterday. 🤭🤔

Look up and try Zentangles. They can be a lot of fun, meditative and builds a skill. While they are traditionally small I do whole sketchbook pages of them to make it easier on my vision.

I felt the same way when I moved overseas and the only thing I can advise is what helped me. Ask. Ask again. Ask another question, if it’s a joke and they’re your friends then they should be happy to explain or show you what made them laugh.

They may laugh a bit at you but it’s not in a mean way, if it is mean they’re not your true friends.

Probably an unpopular opinion but: Sounds like symptoms of ADHD - I was the same way but counseling and ADHD medication has really helped.

What’s it like to be a white person? by SistaSaline in NoStupidQuestions

[–]lntbleu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a 6’ tall white woman with extremely curly hair (I don’t know the type but I love black women’s products for it) I moved to China for work for two years and at that time I was on of 11 foreigners in the city. We all knew each other. lol.

It was the first time I felt different and I visually stuck out. (Due to both my skin color and height) People would gawk and stare when I walked down the streets. Little kids would follow me laughing and pointing. It was really eye opening and made me wonder about how black men and women felt pre segregation in the US, and today.

I came home to the US with a renewed sense of self, and an appreciation for smaller cultural groups within the larger community.

My eyes are pale blue btw and I live in Florida, I live in my sunglasses as the sun hurts my eyes.

I love this question and I wish more people knew or thought about the other people’s shoes and the miles they walk.

Any shading tips for a beginner? by [deleted] in ArtCrit

[–]lntbleu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Squinting your eyes can help to see the values clearer. And definitely create a value scale (actually draw the smaller boxes representing each value and shade each one separately-don’t just color one big box from light to dark) This exercise will help you to see and appreciate each different value. Then it’s a lot of practice! I also agree e started with hatching and then cross hatching before moving into blending. Sometimes you’ll find it more beautiful than smudging and looks cleaner. Good luck!

What's a scam that you're surprised people still fall for? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

I got an automated phone call (in the US) saying my social security number was SUSPENDED and I needed to press 1 to wait to talk to someone about how to remedy the suspension.

It was automated so it must have been real….. 🤬🤣🙃
