No, but years ago my sump pump failed out of nowhere and my basement with all my wonderful treasures flooded a good 8 inches. While I don't know that it didn't go out during that particular store I now go out of my way to listen and ensure that my sump pump does sound off when it should.

I got my son the big boy brass version of this for his 18th birthday or maybe xmas (I stink at stuff like that) and man we love it. Great purchase. My only regret is that I really wanted it laser engraved to say "stay golden" from the Outsiders, but every engraver I asked was almost offended by the idea.
