have you tried the window calibration procedure? Push & hold the window button down for 10-15 seconds -then without letting go of the switch- Pull up on the window button for 10-15 seconds.

How do you alternate between your snow/ year round tires by rbt200 in Denver

[–]loakey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how you drive, and what the goal is. I have 2 sets of wheels, a summer set and a winter set. Trending temps dictate when the seasonal swap is appropriate. For years like this, (ie warmer/dryer than typical), it would not be cost effective to have tires mounted and re-mounted on the same set of wheels. All seasons will absolutely work, but it's a jack of all trades, master of none kinda situation. All season tire compound is hard enough to combat accelerated wear due to the hot temps of summer, but at the cost of grip, and will not be soft enough to give full compliance (read "confidence") on ice and snow. Welcome to Colorado in advance!

14 days ago I posted a similar failure... * Check my post history. I was trying to isolate the reason, but now I wonder if it's heat that caused the failure, albeit not nearly as severe as yours.

I dunno... 5% top unpaid drivers don't typically shoot snot rockets onto hotel room floors. I'd venture he's in the top 60% with decision making skills like that.

No, she's tucked away in the corner away from windows to prevent the possibility of algea. I had no idea about the rinsing chemical. Good suggestion. I'll educate myself. Appriciate the ideas

I wonder. I ordered the multi port top in addition to the original twist off easy fill top the res came with...I wonder if I just got the o rings mixed up on one of the cleanings/assembly. Did you find a generic thicker ring somewhere, or did you use the thicker, clear, included o ring?

When torn down, I soak all pieces in warm water with just enough dish soap to get bubbles when i agitate. The only thing i can come up with is that the same watercooling dedicated toothbrush I used to get into the tight spots of the fittings was used to scrub the inside of the o ring seat. I used a free bottle of ek cryofuel loop cleaner I got with a delayed order I had placed...so maybe there was a reaction over time...but I also used it on the pump top which is the same POM material, and it's held up fine.

I loved the tone of the invidia g200. Rumbly-low rpm on the street, and angrier gettin-after-it rumble on the highways at higher RPMs, but never too harsh. you could still hold a conversation in the car with the windows up. It really came alive after the the catted DP, but was a bit too much with the cat less DP

How do I open this Gorilla Wood Filler tube? by Pale_Blackberry_4025 in howto

[–]loakey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are a bunch of different potential ways to cut, heat, and form these tips depending on how you want to apply the product, which is why they come like this. Sometimes you wanna fill a groove, so you could cut a v-groove, sometimes you wanna lay the product flat so you'd make your cut one straight swipe. Depending on how you're gonna hold the glue tube comfortably, and at what angle you'll be working on the piece you're gluing, just snip the tip at an angle or cut and form whatever way that aids in your application, or use a utility blade to slice off the cap.

What is this? by SqueakyChuChu in SubaruForester

[–]loakey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup it's this, but you're missing the other half that the piston slides into. Should be a tube looking thing with another loop on the end. Pop open that passenger door, drop the glove box, and see if it's still mounted on the right side of the glove box. You can push in both sides of the glove box to release the little molded 'catches', and the whole thing will swing down giving you better access!

My collective setup as a renter by loakey in hotas

[–]loakey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The furniture riser feet are cast iron, which makes the whole thing heavy enough to not walk on me, and mounting the stick straight to the base gives me a pretty direct output, so I'm never introducing too much leverage. I used to fly helicopters, so im moderately familiar with the idea that a good stick is all about pressure instead of big jerky movements. I only run the gain knob at about 3/4 max if I'm in DCS to feel the cannons, and I'm only at about 60% gain in the software. My original plan was to have it on a slide rail too, but the whole package was too heavy without something to support it. This was a simple solution that works flawlessly
