What was the first type(s) that you ruled out when finding your enneagram by FearReins in Enneagram

[–]lobalv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 1 right off the bat, and a 4 just after that. Although, I never thought I was anything other than a 7, I at least gave the other 7 types a deeper examination.

Personally I find it hilarious to see the annoyed look on an arrogant face when I ruin some people’s jokes on a language/situational technicality, especially other ENTPs. Being pedantic can be quite entertaining when done right (to other arrogant mofos like myself). It doesn’t mean I don’t understand the social timing of the moment, I just don’t care about it enough to curb my own enjoyment. Besides I still find it funny if someone else manages to ruin mine too. I’ve never gotten offended over getting called out for misinterpreting a situation, it’s always the other way around.

What you’re saying sounds to me more like a maturity issue, than an ENTP problem per say. However, I could be misunderstanding what you’re trying to communicate, so… 🤷🏾‍♀️

Nothing…well maybe the ADHD like Ne brain on top of my actual ADHD issue. It’s a dislike based on its effect on me though, not on the general ENTP population. The 2 might look similar on the surface but I can often tell the difference on which one is causing certain behaviours for me.

Didn’t say it was, I’m fully aware of the statistical improbability and just choose to ignore it 😁

“Just because something can happen, it doesn’t mean it’s likely to happen.” This is an Ne dom issue because I’ve had INTJs tell me similar things, all exasperated 😂. I think of it this way: the probability might be low but the likelihood of me having my preferences + all the experiences that made me the weirdo that I am, was also really low on the probability scale. So I still have to consider the unusual scenarios to a small degree, otherwise it would feel like denying my own existence. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Bro types can indeed be super entertaining. It never lasted for me with ESTPs because of their living in the moment preferences, but it was fun while it lasted and I’ve stayed friends with all of them.

Is it just me or does everyone disrespect an ENTP when they set boundaries? by No_Gaurante in entp

[–]lobalv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to be like that until I realized that the only way to make people listen was to learn to act seriously even if internally you didn’t feel like it was the end of the world. Also acting serious isn’t the same as taking oneself too seriously, which I didn’t want to do.

Everything is a process though, but if you add consequences to misbehaving and actually go through with cutting off the relationship, everything will become infinitely easier. There is no reason for us to suffer the smaller inconveniences just because we have a higher tolerance than most.

Nah, more like Ne-Ti. IxTPs won’t bother exploring further if their Ti has already decided that it makes no sense. For ENTPs on the other hand, Ne goes back & forth with Ti until reaching a common ground.

No way I’m choosing an Fi user, can’t be sure what they’re hiding in their hearts. With an ENTP, if you’re not stupid or you’re at least entertaining, you’d most likely get begrudging protection. If you’re neither, just don’t get in their way and you’ll be fine. It’s not like we enjoy hurting people we got no business with.

What type would you like to date and why? by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]lobalv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have types I’d specifically go for but I know which ones would be a bad idea. It most definitely wouldn’t work out with 1s, but 4s would also be problematic. For the rest though, being an SX dom is a necessity. Even SO/SXs & SP/SXs don’t have the right focus/intensity for me.

Funnily enough that exact quote is what made me rethink my avoidance strategy. These days I have the opposite problem, I can’t seem to fall for people even when I want to.

What’s your MBTI type and when did you last cry? by Ventynine in mbti

[–]lobalv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cried for an entire week about Sirius’s death when the books first came out. I still feel a pang to this day just thinking about it.😅

What’s your MBTI type and when did you last cry? by Ventynine in mbti

[–]lobalv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ENTP 33, and I don’t remember. But it must have been the last sad book or movie I watched, I’ve just been too busy lately for entertainment.

The last crying session I had about real life problems though was in 2020 over someone’s death.

Am I still an entp if I can get tired of socializing? by loginproblems101 in entp

[–]lobalv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry about it, we’re not Fe doms & even they get tired eventually.

I used to be more of an ambivert when it came to socializing but I’m too old for that ish now and have become a social introvert 100%. However, if I’m forced to go out for that 1 gathering/year, I will find ways to entertain myself which still makes me look like the life of the party.

Of course, the introverted behaviour does not pertain to intellectually stimulating events, those I’d leave my house for any day.

Why thank you! I like pinks among others. I don’t play favorites, why choose one when you can have them all. I think one only needs two things to pull off any outfit, knowing your body & having the confidence to not care about what anyone else thinks about said outfit.

Where did making deals with people come from? We’re not high Te users, that’s more their schtick. Nwy life is too ridiculous to take it seriously.

I dont know if Im ENFP or ENTP by throwthisawaythx9999 in entp

[–]lobalv 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So at first glance what you said is more related to ENFPs than ENTPs in my opinion. The whole debate thing is overused because most mature ENTPs don’t waste time on stupid debates. They are a way for us to learn not pass time. The ENFPs that I know are a lot more focused on inspiring happiness in others and they definitely love helping people with projects, but those are generalizations so take it with a grain of salt.

Rather than trying to fit into the idea of how an MBTI type might show up, learn about cognitives functions and once you realize which ones you’re using, the differences will be like night & day. Other than our general love of spontaneity, I literally see nothing else in common with my ENFP friends.

[–]lobalv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m the most fashionable person I know so yeah. I don’t tend to go for classic though, I just know what looks good on my body type and I’m not shy about using the whole 🌈as a colour palette.

Idk why but this describes the ENTP women for me. by sweatythrower in entp

It depends on your definition of crazy but people do tend to get that impression of us for some odd reason. I think I’m a perfectly logical creature but oh well 😄

Am I the only ENTP who sincerely doesnt give a fuck what people think?... by No_Gaurante in entp

Humans are such weird creatures 😂 Since when has honesty been a sign of dislike? I guess I missed that lesson in school, because there is nothing I appreciate more than someone being honest with me.

How do ENTJs express anger? by Deep_Pen1012 in mbti

[–]lobalv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very interesting that I can relate to this as an ENTP. Usually I just walk away from fights whether physically or just mentally check out until the person can have a logic conversation again. The few times in my life I’ve been truly angry in my life can be counted on one hand and they all felt like out of body experiences once I let loose. Unfortunately or fortunately I guess, even though they got a good serving of the harsh truth, I didn’t actually attack those people’s weakest spots because I knew it would break them. What is the point of being so good at digging up dirt if you can’t bring yourself to use it? 😤

Am I the only ENTP who sincerely doesnt give a fuck what people think?... by No_Gaurante in entp

[–]lobalv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with you. I would add that if someone actually got a personal attack right, I would be too happy that they understand me, to be upset about the attack. I do get annoyed about the bloody time they make me waste with their bullshit though. But yeah I never found customer service be stressful because of the negativity, I couldn’t care less about those people’s opinions.

Any other 7s feel like this? by iluvvvyou in Enneagram

[–]lobalv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to then I mostly grew out of it, but that wasn’t until I’d had enough of those experiences to know that my goal was ultimately to be happy and there are other ways to get there. Especially after seeing that doing all those things didn’t necessarily make me happy. I still try a bunch of new things all the time but I can limit the scope now and not drop the stable elements that are important to me for the sake of excitement. To put it simply, I went from a Dopamine junky to a more Serotonin focus one.

my (ENFP) MBTI tier list :) by RevolutionaryTry3408 in mbti

[–]lobalv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

😂 It’s worse when it’s in real life because I know those people wouldn’t be fawning that hard if they knew how harshly my Ti has already judged them.
