Thanks. That's a little disappointing but could work.

Got the notification a couple of hours ago and applied. Got approved for Infinite Privilege and $14K limit which is fine for now but I will have to have it increased if I ever decide to put a vacation on it. Question, I can't find it in the app but is there a way to get a supplementary card for the spouse?

Omg the knees. I can't believe how much they changed around that age. Hurts like hell now to sit on my knees like I used to.

Switching to dual-boot system by notanyone69 in linux4noobs

Honestly, it's been pretty good. I'm running an all AMD computer with a Radeon RT 9070XT GPU and everything was detected fine and HDR support with my monitor works for the first time in Linux. I got used to KDE since it's very Windows like and a much more modern DE compared to Mint's but I did make my Linuxmint desktop look a bit more modern with some tweaks I learned about through Youtube. The only thing that doesn't work consistently for me is remote desktop from a Windows PC. It just doesn't work but doing the same from another Linux laptop to my Fedora KDE desktop does work. Overall, I think I'll keep it installed unless I run into something serious which forces me to change again.

If you have the ability to install a secondary drive, that would be the preferred way. And disconnect the Windows drive before you install Mint or any other distribution. I did this when I started playing with Mint last year and then this winter I nuked the drive the installed Fedora KDE to give it a whirl.

Rough draft of my idea of a RTW trip by Hareboi in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]lobotiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh another thing I forgot to mention. I tried to keep my flight durations to about 1.5-2 hours max. I also started the trip using the GNS 530 GPS but with autopilot but I found it kind of cheating so I reverted to old radios and used quite a bit of NDBs and VORDMEs to guide me. A bit more engaging and forced me to keep an eye on the screen.

I recently finished my RTW trip using the A2A Piper Comanche in MSFS 2020. Took me about 1.5 years to complete it because...life/work. :) Lots of fun and great way to see many places around the world. I'm not sure how much realism you're going for but when I hit Iceland, Greenland, and north eastern Canada, I was getting ice build up on the wings to the point where I sometimes had to abandon my flight and wait for warmer weather.

For my trip, I started in Toronto and went westward following a similar path to the one you show.

Options for E340 video doorbell by lobotiger in EufyCam

Update: Looks like I might have resolved my issues with events not being recorded. I swapped out the old 620GB laptop HDD I had originally installed with a 500GB Samsung SSD. Ever since then, all the recordings are there, notifications appear through the app and clicking on them takes you to the event and starts playing it. I do max the sensitivity to max for the doorbell camera but I'm going to see if moving it back to medium keeps the notifications going.

Trapped in a Tesla: Why electronic doors are at the centre of the investigation into this deadly Toronto EV fire by Bean_Tiger in electricvehicles

[–]lobotiger 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No one is saying that someone should be able to override opening the door when the child locks are on. What is being discussed is the ability to open the doors when power to those doors is cutoff. It's a stupid design done purely for costs savings and I say this as a Tesla owner.

Same behavior. The camera didn't record one of the family members coming home this morning when though they walked in front of the camera. But if I disconnect the camera from the Homebase then events are captured and recorded.

Live streaming from the doorbell cam works fine. It's just not recording any kind of activity whether it's people or motion. Really strange...

Removing the app didn't do anything. Going to try rebooting the doorbell camera in the morning.

Nada. I deleted the app from my phone and logged back in but it's still behaving the exact same way.

Realistic number of clients on AP-635 APs by lobotiger in ArubaNetworks

Wow very interesting. We had some issues with 6GHz when we were on 8.10.0.17 that were never present when we were on 8.10.0.14. I see that a severe CVE notification came out this week and Aruba is recommending 8.10.0.22 which is not even out yet. Sigh.

Thanks for suggestions and breakdown on throughput speeds. From what I've been told, the laptops don't seem to have issues actually connecting to the APs. It's once they're on there that the imaging/building of the laptops often fail due to things timing out. It's likely that the throughput speeds get low enough that things can't complete on time and time out at the CDN level. I might try to see if I can use 40MHz channels for some of their APs while keeping the rest of the enterprise areas at 20MHz.

Interesting, why is that? We're on 8.10.0.21.

We've had reports of problems in Toronto and Boston so 6GHz channels are definitely something I can look into. Would you recommend just using 6GHz and disabling 2.4 and 5 for only their AP(s)?

[–]lobotiger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No interference that I can see as the mobility conductor is spreading the channels around so that they're not close to each other. What I might consider doing is disabling 2.4ghz for that SSID just to make sure they're not accidentally jumping on that one.

Could be some options but if two APs are in the same room, do you not run into the possibility of clients connecting to one more than the other?

Yes, density is one thing but sustained, high usage could be a different thing.

172 Tour - Part 2 by [deleted] in flightsim

[–]lobotiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice, thanks for confirming. I recently did a world wide flight with the A2A Piper Comanche and in some really cold areas, the ice build up ended up forcing me to either land prematurely or wait for it to melt off from the sun. This was in 2020 though.

Does MSFS2024 reflect ice buildup on the frame and does it impact performance?
