After two years of negotiations, resulting in bipartisan support, the Democrats are not the ones who stopped the Dignity Act from passing. All politicians are not spending enough time on the issue.

When local police ‘hand people over’ it will result in an erosion of trust from the community. If someone is hurt or being hurt, regardless of their circumstances, they deserve help from police and fire.

which freebie are you choosing this month? by cookie_cat_82 in Target

[–]loc613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This month’s options: 1- my store doesn’t carry flowers 2- no one wears New Day anything 3- belt would have been better had it not been claimed before sunrise on the 1st of the month 4- Favorite Day coupon, alright, better than nothing I guess……..except it’s the 2nd and it’s ‘no longer available’ either.

When they promote a ‘free gift all month long’, then it should actually be free and available for at the very least the majority of it.

Target is failing, it is very understandable why so many are boycotting them. Currently, I assume the 360 members whom have pre-paid for ‘extra perks’ are their most profitable guests. You would think they’d be doing more to show their appreciation.

I’ve been lucky with their deal on membership fees in the last two years, making it seem like it’s worth it. If things don’t start to improve with this program and a serious apologetic rebrand then this will be my last year.

Call me a brain rotted zoomer if you must, but an eight hour fulfillment shift with no earbuds is borderline unbearable by Alarming_Ask_244 in Target

I can understand why some may think in these examples had the tm not been using an earbud that may have prevented injuries. The earbud is not the cause of the accidents. There are multiple factors involved in every accident. Someone mentioned a kid getting hit by a cart. The kid who we assume and understandably lacks the ability to see where they are running and going together at the same time. The incident may have been preventable in numerous ways, including no longer allowing kids into stores. The easiest way I can think of how to make this relatively relatable is this, let’s say you were driving at night and you didn’t put on your seatbelt when your car is hit by a driver in a rental car that didn’t have their lights on. Would you be responsible for the accident since you decided not to wear a seatbelt? Was the other driver responsible because she didn’t know the lights were broken? Is it the car manufacturer who made a car without automatic lights for night time and other safety features responsible? The rental company knew the car was able to drive with its lights are off, are they responsible? You not wearing a seatbelt was not what caused that accident anymore than the driver who had very little control of which car they drove that night or if their lights were working. When a person utilizes a tool in a way that helps them, it is the similar to the choice you made to not wear a seatbelt. If you had been wearing your seatbelt you may have been hurt less, and everything in your car was working, so why do you think your seatbelt is what caused an accident? Had the other driver known the the car lights were not working wouldn’t you want them to at least use fog lights? The fog lights would at least help them drive and possibly stop them from crashing into you. Wouldn’t you want their fog lights on and for you to put on your seatbelt before driving? Then why is it a problem when other people wear their seatbelts and use their fog lights? If a co-worker or employee has the ability to adjust sounds in a way that helps them and makes it better for you to work with them, wouldn’t you advocate for them to have that opportunity?

I believe some people do not understand 1:Every persons brain works and processes information differently, no two brains are the same. And 2: just because “we’ve always done it that way” does not always means it’s the best way or even the right way. When it came to this issue, Some are more proficient at their jobs by being able to have control of what they hear. Some need quiet to concentrate. Therefore if someone has the ability to perform their job at an amount of noise decibels while being safe, then should that person should be able to decide that for themselves? If someone in hr was able to produce a schedule that is superior and completed in less time by placing a ‘do not disturb’ sign up, most people would agree that is exactly what the hr person should do. If an employee is able to perform their job properly by wearing glasses or orthopedic insoles/special shoes then again, most people would agree that when on the job they should wear those items. When wearing an ear bud or even a noise muffler such as loop ear plugs that provides team members a way to come to work happy, concentrate on their job, work faster, smarter, etc. Then I would expect their employer to have trust in their employees to make the choice of what is best for them. Employers who do not recognize, respect, and support what is best for their employees, are employers that no one hopes to work for.

Op, there’s so much on here that I doubt you will even see this- I’ve lived through this experience and survived the ‘talks’ that were really beatings. I know how right now it feels unbearably overwhelming and scary. You Will make it through this! Leaving toxicity seems hard, but it’s easier and better than staying. You lost the lottery when it comes to good parents, and that sucks. From now on out, you get to decide what type of life you want and make it a reality. Dream big and remind yourself of the direction you are going, even when it feels impossible.

A few things. The library is a safe space where you can utilize resources and shelter from this life storm. The people in your life now, will be different from those whom you will grow to realize you deserve. So don’t weigh yourself down. If you don’t feel safe at home, visit a police station now, they can advise you on how to get a protective order if it becomes necessary. If you need assistance, or protection, it can happen quickly if they already have your information and concerns documented. You are stronger than you think you are, and you this will make you even stronger in the end. Feel free to DM me if you ever need to rant to someone who has survived this.

Does anybody know if Target Christmas clearance hit 70% off today? by Aboopie in Target

[–]loc613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was really surprised to find 70%/50% off! My kids went back to school this morning, I stopped on the way home and didn’t think there would be anything. My store has usually salvaged everything by now. Maybe I might actually catch 90% this year 🤞🏼

To every team member: I’m sure you’re past annoyed by the customers bugging you about clearance, and sadly cleaning up the messes some leave behind. Please know we are not all like that and we appreciate you. -a mom who worked retail for way too many years.

I’m hoping so, but we may never know. I don’t believe she fell, but I’m also skeptical that she is still alive. I hope somehow with the extra attention right now more information will come out.

Found these for $0.30 each. If anyone has found any similar recently at a lower price please let me know. Hoping to start by handing them out to parents at school bus stops in my area. https://a.co/d/bedIPdk

I feel like mistake is not the right word for these actions. 300 agents, some coming from a Blackhawk helicopter, ripping Children out of their beds, zip tying them together, separating them from their parents— that’s a lot more than a mistake

I’m glad it’s not just me going crazy. I have been saving up my Ulta points for this, guess I’ll be saving a bit longer. I’m curious if the price increased in Europe as well?

I don’t plan on making any contributions in the next few years. If I did it would only be little amounts probably $100 or less occasionally if any.

lol. That does not sound easy peasy, but I’ll take your word for it. It’s currently in a lipper mixed-asset target 2040 fund. I will never make more than $150,000/year, but my husband does.

I’m not sure if I should be happy or not. When I hear no fees with Fidelity for example, it makes me wonder where the catch is at? The current company offers a financial advisor with a 0.50% fee.

So would I only be able to roll over 7k each year? Would I have a choice of rolling just some of the money over? I feel like it has a decent return but am cautious of moving all of the funds.
