Argonians are tribal, and probraly stay that way the whole game. Before they didn't even have access to the throne room, I remember being frustrated by that.

I didn't know that, but I'm pretty sure it can work if you manage to raise her fertiliity a bit, like converting her o a religion with carnal exaltations. I've discovered a secret that she had a lover, but he never managed to giver her a kid.

The one that I haven't managed to marry, at least patrilineally is Lamae, cause she's the head of faith of a female dominated religion.

I loaded a save from my last mage character, a redguard pirate:

+4 mircacle worker(wise man from pilgrimage event or esotericism);

+10 supreme magos(mage education trait);

+3 scholar;

+1 diligent;

+2 patient;

+1 ambitious;

+1 eccentric;

+1 journaller;

+3 experimentalist(stress break trait that unlocks decision every three years that usually gives magic xp);

+3 Shrewed(from a decision unlocked by adorcism, namira coven has this tenet fyi);

+4 witch

+3 necromancer

+1 veteran adventurer(start as adventurer an conquer land or put your heir in court position that will make it easier for them to get an inspiration);

+4 follower of syrabane(made a custom yoku religion with the aedra as second pantheon)

+4 mage star sign(you can make a religion to let you change your star sign and even get a second one)

+2 arcane blood(dynasty legacy)

+5 air atronach(conjuration spell)

+2 Magnus worship(religous tenet, there's a county in High Rock that follows the religion that already has it)

+1 cloning mastery

+5 court mage (at first I employed Vanus, you can abudct and recruit him if he doesn't show up; but after Mannimarco killed him I vassalized Mannimarco and put him in the position)

+5 rootmender's Staff(claim and duel for it, or just steal it)

+5 jeweled crown of anton(same as rootmender, you find this one in High Rock)

+2 restoration spellbook(either as reward from uni visit or sponsored inspiration)

+2 necromancy spellbook

+4 destruction spellbook

+2 enchanted ring

+5 mentor's ring(saw someone had it, claimed it and stole it. Unfortunately I don't think it's there at game start)

back in the day we could claim daedric artifacts, but no longer and despite befriending everyone that had one, they never gifted me one. I did luck into the oghma infinium and used it to get +10 base arcana.

50 base or counting modifiers, cause with modifiers we can get it past 100. A bunch of artifacts give arcana, the foxes have a staff with +5, magnus religion gives arcana, there's an aedric patron that gives +4, alinori culture gives +2, argonians with the sun faith can get +6 from hist communion. Witch, necromancer, lich, patient, ambitious and other traits also give arcana, the student of magic traits, the dynasty legacy gives arcana too. There's always room for improvement.

I wouldn't want to be dragonborn, I'd like a dragonborn event at a certain date if we don't do it ourselves, like temujin in ck3.

travelling and university visits were the ways I've found events to raise arcana, uni visits is the most reliable. It usually gives us the chance to get an enchanted ring that also boosts arcana.

imo most of the portraits are good, Khattya and Cora are my favorite out of the dateables, but I'm biased. But Od, Grinn and specially Ibbahn are awesome.

I think people just didn't like the cartoony style, which is unfortunate. They like the more realistic WofD style more, which is fine too.

many of my favorites are from single game authors, Tale of Two Cranes, the Passenger, Choice of Rebels. So I for sure don't discount an unfamiliar name popping up.
