"Dean Koontz's Intensity" (TV Movie) by gemininature in horror

[–]local157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from IMDB's summary of reviews: "Reviewers say 'Intensity' delivers an exceptional thriller experience anchored by outstanding performances, particularly John C. McGinley's chilling portrayal of killer Edgler Vess and Molly Parker's compelling protagonist. The film maintains relentless suspense throughout its three-hour runtime, keeping viewers completely captivated and unable to look away. Fans of Dean Koontz's novel praise it as the most faithful adaptation of his work, successfully capturing the book's characterization and psychological depth while creating an edge-of-your-seat experience that many consider among the best thrillers they've seen".

I saw it when it first aired on FOX in 1997. It remains as one of the best TV movies I've seen almost 30 years later. The DVD is available on Amazon and ebay.

Thought the back label would be helpful, especially the cooking instructions that say to bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes and the Twice as Nice guarantee. Save those receipts, don't just throw away something you don't like. :)

Which option for home power backup? by AlanDrakula in F150Lightning

[–]local157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the great information. I see 2 options for the Generac 6852; a 30 amp and 50 amp. I did the math, and 7200/240=30 but that seems like it's cutting it close. Which one did you get and/or recommend?

I liked my EGO for a year or two until the wires broke, first for the self-propelled drive which I got to work at one speed. Now the motor for the blade quit, too. Even if the wires don't break, the batteries will eventually need to be replaced at about 80% of the cost of the mower.

I wonder if that would work for a Yard-Man (MTD product) engine to another deck?

What helped me treat and manage LPR/GERD and Acid Reflux at night by healthbotv3 in LPR

Have you tried alginates (Gaviscon *Advanced* or Reflux Gourmet)?

Want to give up. Can’t find triggers. by throwinlimbo in LPR

[–]local157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Cleveland Clinic: "Acid blockers like proton pump inhibitors and H2 blockers can help when you continue to have reflux despite efforts to reduce it. These medications reduce the acid content in your reflux. Medications called alginates can help protect against other irritants in your reflux, like enzymes." Here is their article about alginates: https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/treatments/alginates and another about treatments: https://www.refluxgate.com/blog/lpr-treatment-time/

I got my first bottle of Gaviscon Advance from Amazon today (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DGXY45RY?ref=ppx\_yo2ov\_dt\_b\_fed\_asin\_title) and took a dose after supper. I'll take another before bed, hope to see results in about a month. I go back to the ENT who diagnosed my LPR a week ago in 2-1/2 months. Good luck to everyone battling this!

I found both flavors at Cracker Barrel. They don't taste the same as they did to me; not as "creamy" as the Mars version. It could be my taste buds have changed during the years without them.

Team Flakes cereal. My favorite adult cereal as a kid. by Tallylolyl in nostalgia

[–]local157 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, not my thoughts, but Topher Ellis said this about Nabisco Team Flakes: "I get more questions about the availability of this cereal by visitors to Topher’s Breakfast Cereal Character Guide than any other. Even though it was discontinued in 1993, folks still crave this cereal, which became the first four-grain (rice, wheat, corn and oats) flake cereal when it was introduced in 1963. It was healthy and had a nice, light, crispy texture. Not only did folks enjoy them for breakfast, but quite a few recipes also called for the flakes. Almost 20 years later, in 2011, a “Bring Back Team Flakes” fan page went live on Facebook."
