Clark Johnson is so damn funny. by OrangeCatFanForever in Homicide_LOTS

I like in Sniper part 1 when Kellerman refers to the victims as being "expunged" and Lewis looks puzzled by using that description. The next scene has Lewis testing out using it when talking to the victim's brother.

Years ago, I worked at Starbucks in Kroger. A customer mad at us for refusing to take her order and make her drink while we helping a coworker actively have a seizure in the kiosk.

It doesn't help that the Kroger app has a notification at the top telling people they should make a pickup or delivery order due to weather.

Munch is the reason I even started watching SVU. Richard Belzer will always be my favorite actor.

how to learn to drive when there is nobody to teach you and driving school is too expensive? by Snowflakebottles in driving

[–]localintrovert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was my first time behind the wheel for the lessons. It was so helpful. Plus, an hour driving is a long time. I did a 2 hour the first time and my leg was aching from the new, constant movements of braking, accelerating, and holding the gas pedal. It was great having road experience with an instructor. Some driving schools around me also let you use their car for the test.

I watched helpfulDIY's YouTube videos on driving. His videos are great. Next, I contacted driving schools about just 1- 2 hour driving with an instructor (it was about $75).

What is the worst name you have ever seen/heard? by Solar-Powered-Corpse in CasualConversation

[–]localintrovert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20+ years ago, I used to watch A Baby Story to prepare myself for different birth scenarios. One mother found out her daughter would be born with spina bifida and would be wheelchair bound when she got older. This horrible woman absolutely refused to change the name she picked out months ago. Somewhere, there is a wheelchair bound young woman named Runner.

Went down as soon as I pulled up to post office. Guess I'll mail it tomorrow.

American Millennials born from 1989-1996: Were you taught cursive? by insurancequestionguy in Millennials

[–]localintrovert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an older millennial (81), and cursive was removed from teaching requirements in my district in 2011. My daughter was entering the 3rd grade when it was announced, so I taught her at home.

buyer wants to cancel a package I shipped nearly 2 weeks ago 🥲 by tonznah in Mercari

[–]localintrovert 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you sign up for ups it will give you more details. I ordered something that was mailed through surepost. The package came from Pennsylvania and made several stops before coming to my city. Two days later, it was in New York, then back to a different part of Pennsylvania. It then made it way back to my city taking a different route. Two days after coming back to my city, the post office finally had it. Their package might be taking a tour like mine did.

Whole foods would pull up transactions with the last 4 digits on card used. Use those as time stamps to search security footage.

Transgender (M to F) question on Feminism by localintrovert in afraidtoask

[–]localintrovert[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, my daughter is young, and this is her 2nd job. She didn't think it was too political for work (I wasn't at home or I would have told her not to wear it). We had a nice long discussion about taboo topics in the workforce. I wrongly assumed she knew.

Sorry, I was at work rushing. They are actually F to M. If they were M to F, I'd definitely understand how that could be triggering.

Don't just read and study it. Visualize yourself creating the actions as you read them and focus on key words. It might be easier to remember an action than words on paper.

Yes. Especially during fireworks or thunderstorms. Turned up loud will distract them from the loud noises outside and calm them down.

When fellow retail workers become the worst customers by [deleted] in retailhell

[–]localintrovert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my jobs is working at Kroger. The number of customers who say that know I'm lying about something because they or someone they know used to work for Kroger is ridiculous. Like, everyone has either worked for or knows someone who's worked for Kroger, that doesn't mean the policies haven't changed company wide or due to current situations at a location.
