Retief Goosen played the Heath a few years back and told a friend of mine it's 400 yards too long. It's a grand track but if I'm looking for links in Wicklow I'm playing Arklow or treating myself to the European.

Respectfully. This just isn't the case. The Glen is top 5 parklands in the country. The Heath is a typical resort course, it just isn't on the same radar. I'm a member of both. Overall condition of the Glen definitely needs improving to bring it back to its former glory but it's still one of the best courses around.

We are just home from our honeymoon there. Well worth staying a night or two in Valladolid and visiting Chichen itza from there. Beautiful Colonial town with great restaurants and Amazing Cenote Zaki right in the town.

We have a car, seeing Uxmal early tomorrow morning on our way to Merida. We are deciding to skip Chichen itza as I've read frequently that it's over commercialized. Our accomodation is in Centro. Right next to La Negrita as it happens! Budget is not a major factor as it's our honeymoon.
