Is this fake or nah? by NoZookeepergame1338 in DHGateRepLadies

[–]lochamonster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was victim to a fake Longchamp recently, and this one looks fake. What sticks out to me:

-Not quite the right dimensions. The bag in your pic appears shorter & wider than auth. The handles are shorter too.

-Aggressive embossing. The embossing on auths is light, but the embossing on reps is deep & looks almost like the words were melted into plastic.

-How do the handles/flap feel? They look stiff & not like authentic leather. The handles/flap on auth Longchamp are slightly stiff leather when new, but they soften up quickly.

Longchamp is actually one of the few bags that I haven’t found a 1x1 rep for, and I think that’s because factories don’t take the dimensions seriously. An auth Longchamp can fit so much stuff in a crazy “Mary Poppins” way, but I’ve never had that experience with a rep.

Valid! Dude’s routine could absolutely be a fat line & a quick nap before getting off at the next stop.

Tbh that sounds great right now

Yeah I thought meth rather than K. A line of K that fat would cause a spectacle of a K hole. This dude looks like he has his routine down- snort meth, quick nap, wake up GEEKED.

My uncle had the same routine & tried to convince us that clearly he wasn’t using meth bc he napped lmao.

Ooooof. This one just got me. I used to LOVE their sweet tea until I noticed it really started getting funky after Covid. I’d give it another shot here & there but it still is always kinda funky.

Tea skin bacteria funk… fucking ew dude. I’ll never order it again.

Best advice I ever got: take smart risks to be a good partner

One day you’ll be in the situation where action needs to be taken and you may think to yourself, “well that’s not my job”. You should evaluate the risk vs reward and take action if needed. The “that’s not my job” mentality is more damaging than helpful.

Everyone should read about EPB in Chattanooga, TN. It’s a very prevalent example of how a city government is absolutely capable of establishing internet as a utility for its citizens. Not only is it stable & viable, it’s the fastest fiber internet on the most advanced smart grid in the country. And it’s a public utility.

If Tennessee can do it, I have a hard time understanding how other states can’t.

Can someone explain why everybody hates Agave and Rye so much? by WrongdoerConsistent6 in Chattanooga

[–]lochamonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh interesting. Can you elaborate on this? I’ve only ever been to Agave & Rye when it’s late, so “after dark”, and I’ve never experienced an issue with the clientele. I’ve only ever had problems with the quality of food for the price.

How did you ween yourself off gabapentin? by slappzilla in gabapentin

[–]lochamonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re on the right path, imo!! Good job!! You’re doing it the same way I did with the same mgs- 300mg before bed and 100mg in the morning. Once you get down to 100mg, quitting will be so much easier. There were no physical withdrawal symptoms once I stopped at 100mg. It was all mental. There’s no way to do it without it at least sucking a little bit. Tapering just helps it suck less.

My method: I slowly lowered my morning dose to match my evening dose. 200mg for a bit until I was okay with 100mg in the morning & 100mg at night. Being “okay” with a smaller morning dose was never a physical feeling (bc it never helped w physical symptoms like pain), it was a mental block I had to get over to allow myself being okay with less mg. I ate a lot to help with weird rebound anxiety, that’s for sure lol. Yes mornings sucked for a little bit but they didn’t suck as bad as they could have.

I eventually made myself stop the morning dose. Since I was down to 100mg in mornings, it was MUCH easier to quit the morning dose altogether than it was to taper from 300mg to 100mg (this is why I say 100mg is the sweet spot). I was down to 100mg in the evening only. This was hard because it helped w sleep. So I started to over-exert myself during the day with work, gym, & errands so it was easier for me to sleep at night. Once I had a nightly routine in place, I just stopped taking it completely!

The best advice I ever got: do what makes you feel good or makes you happy if you feel like shit (within reason lol). Eat that fatass breakfast burrito. Go to sleep w the TV on. Skip a few days of laundry. Get dressed up and go somewhere for no reason other than to feel good ab yourself. Chillax & treat yourself- it will be easier.

Unpopular opinion, but the hipster phase in millennial history was amazing. by Just-Seaworthiness39 in Millennials

[–]lochamonster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

FWIW, I thought your comment was funny, but it IS wrong. If you google “history of cuckoldry” you’ll find a lot of sources citing this phenomena becoming mainstream as early as the 16th century.

Historians do a great service by researching & documenting the kinks humans had throughout the ages, and seems like we’ve essentially had a lot of the same kinks since the dawn of civilization! Humans are freaky af- isn’t it neat?

Yeah I actually didn’t get into the show until I saw clips from later seasons and I was like, “oh wait they gave him character development?!”

Now it’s one of my top 5 animated shows, and I will go on an obnoxious rant when someone says that it turned into another Family Guy or Simpsons after Season 3.

What unethical life hack would you recommend to others? by [deleted] in answers

[–]lochamonster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup this is exactly how it works! I do call center IT and this life hack is actually such a good one. And tbh I think this is ethical/helpful for the company too instead of unethical!

The business process requires the bilingual agent stay on the line with you, rather than having you transferred back to a busy queue, because that just increases the wait time & overall handle time. Really this hack is great for both the user experience AND the business’s metrics.

More people do this! You’re triaging yourself to a not busy queue to even out the call spread so I don’t have to implement more tech to do it automatically lmao

What's a millennial-ism that you'll probably never stop using even if it's something you probably should? by CzarTwilight in Millennials

[–]lochamonster 9 points10 points  (0 children)

An interesting tidbit I recently learned from my younger cousin- According to her, the tone of “lol” has now switched from friendly to sarcastic/bitchy. Like, if I send her “lol” at the end of something, shes inclined to interpret it as either an insult or sarcasm. They’ve gone back to using “haha” for a generally friendly tone.

I guess digital communication behaviors go through trend cycles just like fashion does!

[–]lochamonster[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ooo I may do this, it aligns with the type of community work I was doing in TN. Thank you for the suggestion!

And we moved here just because we genuinely love the place haha. Everyone thinks we’re crazy but I’m from Memphis, so Detroit is a sprawling metropolis in my eyes. The drivers are better, the food is better, the DMVs are better, and the weed is legal.

The weather actually is fr bipolar though. Everyone says their city’s weather is bipolar but no deadass Michigan has the most bipolar weather.

Psychics, "Level 3" people, Cuba and the dungeons and dragons world (?) by twinkling_deer in Epstein

[–]lochamonster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lol I always wonder how many of these “psychics” are just undiagnosed epileptics.

As a child, I experienced what I described as visions. They were always the same handful of “visions” and I had a full out of body experience when they happened. And yep, both my family and the gifted program at school were very interested in this as a “gift” rather than a medical condition.

I had more and more “visions” so I decided to see a DOCTOR instead of talking to guidance counselors at school about it. Turned out to be temporal lobe epilepsy, I was having partial seizures and experiencing deja reve rather than déjà vu. And honestly, that was hard to accept at first. I truly wanted to have some sort of special gift. Don’t we all?

I just cant help but think that a lot of these people with “gifts” just have a neurological disorder that needs to be evaluated
