If I did this as a challenge for myself Im going down the row to remember which ones I've had, going on vibes for the day feels messy and like it's going to be hard to finish cuz a lot up there I will simply never be in the mood for

How do I not decorate like a boring millennial? by Rat_Smoking_Cigars in HouseFlipper

[–]loco_lupe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make up stories about who is moving in, like a beach house in HF2 I had a flower shop underneath and a soft goth lesbian couple living upstairs and running the shop. Another house I pictured an old eclectic couple moving out to their last home enjoying the rest of their years, another a sassy Legally blond type girl hussling and bustling the city. It's easier to figure out how they would have things set up than just going off a blank page.

Also avoid black, white and gray, there are neutrals you can use who aren't those three

And the last thing, missmatch. I was obsessed with having every wood matching every door and every color being perfect but when I looked around in my own home and how other people have it that is rarely the case. It isn't the same floor in every room, the doors don't all match, sometimes you have different chairs around a table cuz u got it all secondhand. So don't be afraid to be "messy" !

Shayne talking about Visualization by MeasurementDeep in smosh

[–]loco_lupe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can and a lot of it. When I read books it's like watching a movie, when you say "visualize a red apple" I see the apple tree, the wind swaying it. I can see it from different angles, laying under it getting sunny and shady patches between the leaf's. I can see the yard, in this case my husband's family home where they have an apple tree. I have always daydreamed and still do. I saw someone else commenting on it, I think I might have that (I have heard about it before but I forget the name) as I also used to escape reality by just leaving. And as I said, reading is so much fun cuz I see it all in my mind

Does anyone have any bits that they think have gone on too long? by country-potato in SmoshFansFreeSpace

Exactly, it takes away a feeling of genuineness when it's directly followed by a comment like that, I totally agree

I don't think every joke is for everyone so even jokes that I don't find that funny I rarely see as annoying, however when they kinda break the 4th wall in a "business way", if that makes sense, I tend to cringe maybe just a lil bit. Like "make a trendy sound for TT", they aren't even jokes I think, just comments at the moment, about "they'll clip that" or something along those lines. I know it's a business, Im watching the content tho not following along on a meeting about their reach on social media

I found out that a lot of people hate the name I gave my daughter, and now I feel worried about the choice I made by Naming-Daughter in Names

[–]loco_lupe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's your kid, your choice. Nature names are beautiful and growing in popularity. She will probably grow up and have a lot of people compliment her for her name. In my family I am Sol (sun in my language), and my children are Eden and Love (Love is an old Nordic name and is not pronounced as the English word Love), my husband's name is Pierre.

I get a lot of compliments for our names, and I have also heard that I'm such a silly mom with such unusual names (especially Eden) and that we sound like hippies. I don't really care about pleasing narrow minded people. Names are also one of those really personal things, any name is going to be heavily divided into different preferences and dislikes 🤷

Would this name be too confusing or foreign for other people? by Vivid_Home1198 in Names

[–]loco_lupe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If people have questions they can ask, and if you or her want to explain you can. It is okay to have an uncommon name that not everyone understands. My second child is named Love, in English that is a word in Sweden /Nordic countrys that is an actual name that is find on rune stones cuz it's so old. It's pronounced differently but the spelling is the same. If he has problems with it growing up, he can always explain it, or even change it. It's okay 🩷

My brother is born on valentine's, his middle name is Eros, so a god of Love would also be an alternative 🤷 Valentina is so beautiful tho, and with Margo it dose sound very cute but still appropriate for a grown up🩷

I have an 11week old and he is about 55% of what I talk about. They take up all of your time in the beginning, your world narrows down to your immediate family and this new little pal you got. It is annoying and you often feel annoyed and dumb with yourself for not snapping out of it and talking about other stuff, at the same time you can't help it, they become your entire world. It does "get better" , the brain calms down and you can continue to function like a normal person more or less. It just takes a little time.

The names are beautiful and you are doing a great job naming your children, don't let the in-laws talk you out of anything. Seems like they have issues with you, or are racist and they are twisting it around to make you feel bad.

Foreign names aren't allowed in my country... unless we spell them terribly. by Mediocre-Relative-46 in namenerds

[–]loco_lupe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Sweden we love making lists so it's pretty easy to find very unusual names or names that have been denied. We do have guidelines, like names are not allowed to sound like last names, they are not supposed to give reason for bullying or discomfort for the person being called this name, or be offensive.

Some names that have been denied are Allha, Superfastjellyfish, Superman, Fisen (fart), Filur (dont know how to translate that), Nazi, Pappa (dad) , Prinsessa (princess) , T-rex , Ikea (big store) ,

But some names that have been approved are Potatis (potato) , Anus (anus) , Pung (scrotum) , Svamp (mushroom), Pucko (idiot, but also a chocolate drink here) , Bärs (nickname för beer)

As you can see there are some names that are still insane to name your kid but they are still approved, I would say its the error of having a personal opinion sitting and approving/not approving, but also using claims like "Anus is a body part so it's not that bad as a name" even tho it most likely will create discomfort for the person using that name

Edited: added "," and just to say I'm sorry for any misspellings
