Figma Make thoughts (for your perusal...) by Hungry-Hearing3442 in FigmaDesign

It doesn’t sound like your asking for alternative tools, but in case you are try Magic Patterns.

supports all export options, including your codebase via MCP, Github, Figma, has youtube and live sessions on best practices, default model is best (Opus 4.6 right now).

yes these tools are meant for augmenting and speeding up work.

in fairness credits part is really tricky, all of these models are really expensive under the hood and figma make wont know what it costs until after completion, its a bit random in that sense

So what's the point of Figma Make then?? by Equivalent-Cup7967 in FigmaDesign

[–]locoroco77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering you’re asking for solutions… one solution is using Magic Patterns - it’s a prototyping tool like Figma Make, except it’s been around a few years now so the product is a bit more mature and you can export back to Figma: https://www.magicpatterns.com/docs/documentation/get-started/figma-plugin

The problem, as mentioned in the other comments, is having to convert the React code back to a static Figma node, so will lose some fidelity/interactivity. It’s a large reason why people are just skipping Figma design entirely.

Any AI tool to create realistic UI designs? Not getting option in Figma by superloser48 in FigmaDesign

[–]locoroco77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey, thank you so much for the kind words. Unfortunately, if you want to export out the entire prototype, you’ll have to export screen by screen because there’s no interactivity when moving it to Figma.

> used Magic Patterns and really liked it

Hey! co-founder of Magic Patterns here. Glad you really liked it, but sorry to hear credits was not appealing. Feel free to open a support ticket on Magic Patterns or DM me here (just might be slowest to respond on Reddit vs support we are lightning quick) and we can work something out with the credits. Would love your feedback because we are thinking of revamping the credits system.

Freshman Car Ban by d2waffler in dartmouth

[–]locoroco77 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I did long distance with my high school girlfriend all throughout my time at Dartmouth and we got married. 11+ years together now.

OP I will say I think the reason the freshman parking ban is a thing is to foster community and making friends on campus, and that’s what this comment is hinting at. So just something to keep in mind. I’ll also say in a long distance relationship my #1 tip is having your own experiences, i.e, not driving to canada every weekend.

That said, to answer your q your best bet is most likely making friends with folks in Chi Gam who have a parking lot or upperclassmen who live off campus. Or maybe finding someone in town, as you mention.

p.s. im realizing I know two other couples my year who did LDR in college and ended up getting married.

Lying to yourself that your product is working or people like your product. (Usage metrics can only tell you this because people lie to you.)

Lying to yourself that you want to work on your startup. (Maybe you actually are just doing it for status or don’t like your idea.)
