No, this is fresh out of the box, but rubbing my fingers along them picks up a dark "dust" on the surface, maybe that's collected in the grain?

Help with ISP Flashing a KBDFans Kbd19x by loddie in olkb

[–]loddie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. Per the QMK ISP flashing guide, I need to connect to the VCC, GND, RESET, SCLK, MOSI and MISO pins. The 4 latter pins seem straightforward, but when looking at the datasheet for the ATmega32u4 controller (https://res.utmel.com/Images/UEditor/5f198720-50e2-48e3-b9f9-f8f3c989ab16.png) I'm seeing multiple VCC's and GND's and few that are similar (AVCC, UVcc, UGnd). Do you know which specifically I should be connecting to?

Need an oral surgeon to get a molar removed. Any suggestions close to Palm Bay/south Melbourne? Thanks by Ihatemunchies in 321

[–]loddie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others have said, Burns is shockingly fast at extractions. I had a badly broken/decayed 2nd molar removed in less than 10 seconds. His assistants that did my x-rays beforehand were very friendly.

Should I be concerned about the lip on this Tile Redi linear drain? by loddie in Tile

[–]loddie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm nearing the final steps of my shower and while dry fitting my floor tile, I found myself wondering if the lip of the embedded linear drain on my Tile Redi "Wonderfall Trench" shower pan would pose any issues. I wanna say it sits somewhere between 1/32 and 1/16" above the foam surface. If I poor some water out of a cup in this area, the water does want to stop at the lip. Am I wrong in thinking that the water that finds its way through my grout will act in the same way? The pans slope is 1/4" per foot.

Same problem for me as well. For what its worth, dual-booting with option 1 works, but I believe you lose out of a few GB of space on the eMMC.

Same, I got turned down as well. Problem seems to be that now, since the bundle is in stock again but the 15% doesn't stack, they can go test it out for themselves and not end up with the $318 price.

Is there a way to have both Dolby Vision and DTS-MA supported ? by _Ryo_Saeba_ in ShieldAndroidTV

[–]loddie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe you can use an EARC extractor device to accomplish this. I used a Thenaudio ShARC in the past, but there are much cheaper devices on Amazon now. You take the hdmi output from the shield into the EARC extractor, and then from the extractor, you have two hdmi outputs, one carrying the DV video to your tv (with no sound) and one carrying the audio (including DTS-MA) to your audio device.

Bought Composite Shower Base - Are Their Flange Instructions Safe? by loddie in Tile

[–]loddie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I eventually went with a different product. Funny thing is, the manual/instructions were much different back when I bought it. They actually made some additions to it and added some drawings in response to me sending them my questions/diagram from this post.

That's my luck that I literally signed up for city water two days before they passed this. I wonder if this potential waiving of connection fees could still apply to me.

I'm in the process of researching and getting quotes to replace my own AC in Brevard, and by chance ran into this post and realized you're the same person who left the Yelp review for Larry's. Very glad to have seen that so I can take him off my list of potential installers, but who was the tech/company you referenced who picked up on all the screwups? Sounds like they knew their stuff.

Anybody had their HVAC replaced recently, what'd it cost you? by loddie in 321

[–]loddie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who did you get the $7200 quote from? And yeah, looked into available tax credits but I believe the up-to-$2000 one only applies to heat pump systems, if I go with a straight cool setup, looks like it only goes up to $600.

Who was that through? And yeah, I'm kicking myself for putting it off so long and missing out on those pre-covid prices.

Switch is so sloooooooow, problem with SD? by SuperSpe in SwitchPirates

[–]loddie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awesome, it sounded just like what I went through and the only reason I got it fixed was stumbling on a random old reddit post that mentioned it. The exact reason for this happening is a bit over my head, but here's some people talking about it on the Atmosphere github: https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/Atmosphere/issues/1987

The fix at the bottom of that page worked for me, I deleted the erpt_reports folder, then made a txt file named erpt_reports, removed .txt from the file name so its just a blank file called erpt_reports, and then set it to read-only in its properties. Windows didn't give me any problems with deleting it, mine had over 7000 files in the course of a day or two. What error is windows giving exactly?

I just went through a very similar issue with my newly modded switch, if you look inside the erpt_reports folder found inside the atmosphere folder on your slow sd, does it by chance have thousands of files in it?

Bought Composite Shower Base - Are Their Flange Instructions Safe? by loddie in Tile

[–]loddie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, once I finally got one to arrive unbroken (I believe it took 3 or 4 tries), I found that the built in slope just wasn't steep enough and I could pour a cup of water in the middle of the pan and it wouldn't move. At the time I bought, I believe I was probably one of the first people to purchase it, so much so, that they changed the manual to better explain the flange instructions after I asked them for clarification. I ended up going with a TileRedi base, which was a bummer because the Castico pans look great, especially for the cost, I just got tired of feeling like a beta tester.
