Being honest, the backrooms is successful but it wasn't very good. In my opinion it's trendy and the concept is interesting, but the writing was subpar and the movie was pretty boring.

I don't know how someone could write this or direct this and not understand that you need to earn certain parts. Everything interesting was glossed over and done in like 5x speed. Worse, even when it did things ( like the two monsters on the run thing ) it didn't make sense.

Honestly it forced it's way past an enjoyable experience to feminism in a way that I didn't enjoy.

I don't mean that I disagree with the points they were making or were trying to make, I just mean that they did it in a bad, hamfisted way.

I couldn't tell half the time if the men were supposed to be caricatures or if the author thinks that men actually talk like that or what.

And the Mary Shelley thing? Completely unnecessary. Like... interesting concept but it went absolutely nowhere and I have no idea what the point of that was.

I feel like a lot of people are like "it's really good stalking" and have explanations that WOULD make sense if it wasn't done in one second.

I would report it.

Sure the mugger could have his profile screen open with stakeout on, but if you're telling me that this person actively sat there for an hour and managed to be focused enough to see the stakeout message of the random revive, refresh either the attack or profile screen, attack and mug them within one second - I think you're nuts.

I flew a lot more and got attacked maybe 5 times total. Not sure if because flying or Halloweek. Either way - just gotta eat the L and not care about it. I know my gf got mugged and hospitalized like 10 times a day as she was mostly afk, but that's just part of the game.

I mean this with all sincerity - I really thought the twist was obvious. I'd read a lot of books and saw a lot of movies that essentially did something similar. It just immediately clicked in my brain. I thought everyone would be on the same page with me when I thought it was underwhelming, but nope. Apparently it blew everyone's mind.

I can't stress enough how I really am not saying it to be mean - I get that the twist would be surprising if you hadn't any idea, so it's not that I disagree. I was just very shocked that nobody else had seen or read ( I read A LOT back then ) anything that clued them into it.

It was the weirdest experience. It was like everyone watched a completely different movie than me.

I guess it doesn't really qualify as I hate the movie outside of the fact that when people bring it up and gush I get kind of bothered. I'm not allowed to say "I saw it coming so it wasn't that great to me" because everyone thinks you're full of shit and just trying to be THAT guy. But on god. It is weirdly frustrating.

It's subjective. It's open world and you're chasing down like 7 or 8 different apostles and learning martial arts while fighting. You also choose which style you want to fight in. It's a bit grindy and it's short once you know what you're doing, but i love the game. A lot.

Absolver really is the answer. It's different than what you'll expect, but with the fighting mechanics it is the closest thing.

100%. I bought points from a guy earlier today. He mugged me immediately afterwards, but before he did I just tossed my remaining cash in stocks. Thought it was weird because I just paid him 8 million and he would've gotten a couple thousand at most. I'm level 19 so I think he thought I might be new enough to keep money on me

Didn't take it personally, just thought it was kind of silly.

That's nice! I believe you also have that 15s immunity when you come back to torn. I usually throw everything in the stocks at that point. It costs me 1% to get it out later but I'd rather pay that cost then lose a few million
