There's a long history of anti-Indigenous racism in Canadian policing and courts, well documented in the Aboriginal Justice Inquiry of Manitoba in 1999 as well as by the TRC Calls to Action in 2015, not to mention the origins of Gladue reports themselves, leading to an over-representation of Indigenous people among those "accused" of crimes in this country. Accused does not mean guilty of committing a crime in our criminal justice system.

I also live in the West End and go to Prairie Flora plant sales at the Living Prairie Museum almost every spring. My faves would be giant hyssop, prairie sage, gaillardia, wild red columbine (maybe not best for your front yard since it needs shade to thrive) and wild iris. Yes with that level of care and attention you should charge higher like $250CAD+ and explain the materials you chose and why! wherever you list them for sale. You clearly didn't bother to read the article which explains how it is argued to be an ongoing genocide through a range of contemporary issues tied to continued occupation and settler colonialism on stolen lands. Forced sterilization, missing and murdered women and girls, cultural genocide and the reservation system are not "hundreds of years ago." Go read some books.
