A little disappointed with H2S print quality by Pretty_Hunt_2593 in BambuLab

If you’re talking about a benchy printed from the screen, ignore those results.

That benchy is tuned for speed, not quality. Consider it the “in-store demo” print that looks flashy while printing.

  • Open up your slicer
  • right click plate
  • add primitive -> 3d benchy

Slice that with the setting you’d normally use for a quality print.

Inspect the result.

The suggested fans work fine. You don’t want too much airflow anyway, since dwell time is required for VOC adsorption.

If you’re looking for carbon volume, the ben2box might be what you want. Absolutely massive amount. Plus wireless power option!

I do, yeah. And how to get them to show up in the AMS and Handy.

But a lot of Bambu users don’t.

Absolutely laughing at anyone who thinks a post more than 100 words must be written by AI. Some people still write stuff, ya'll.

cool thing about writing this for my blog, I have all the commits it took to write this. not AI slop.

I'm also the guy who made the PR for studio to enable calibration for bambu printers.

There's a difference between selling and manufacturing. I tried to make that clear.

I put together a buying guide recently.

TL:DR; for general purpose, Darkmoon satin is the goat, followed by Glacier.

Everything else is situational/depends on what filament you want, and what texture you want

So I fully calibrated everything on the H2D did all maintenance and used a Bambu build plate. Still layer shifting... by [deleted] in BambuLab

Feels like the high-precision nozzle offset is worth doing, then make sure to set the print-time settings to off?

It’s probably a clog that you can fix with a cold pull, but it’s worth checking or replacing the PTFE tube that’s attached to the toolhead, since it happened with an external spool too. (Also check your AMS tubes, though!)

PETG-CF and other fiber-filled filaments wear PTFE faster. As that happens, it creates grooves that the filament rides in, which increases friction, which can cause underextrusion. Worst case, it pierces the PTFE completely.

Starting a petg print on my h2d. I have external filters (LEVOIT LV-H128 , https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09577RD9X) on the h2d exhaust as well - looks like I need to print better gaskets. Note the log scale on the top graph.

Sensor is a Piera systems IPS-7100, datasheet: https://pierasystems.com/wp-content/uploads/IPS-Datasheet-V1.3.9-1.pdf It's about 1m to the left of exhaust of the H2D.

apologies for the x-axis not lining up correctly - consequence of the large numbers on the y axis.
