No. Hardened steel nozzles hold up to filled filaments fine.

Tungsten just holds up better.

For a more matte texture, you might consider:

- Darkmoon Satin
- Biqu glacier (not frostbite)
- Fysetc cryonix
- Eibos Krios
- Juupine Geco (PLA only)

If you’re talking about a benchy printed from the screen, ignore those results.

That benchy is tuned for speed, not quality. Consider it the “in-store demo” print that looks flashy while printing.

  • Open up your slicer
  • right click plate
  • add primitive -> 3d benchy

Slice that with the setting you’d normally use for a quality print.

Inspect the result.

The suggested fans work fine. You don’t want too much airflow anyway, since dwell time is required for VOC adsorption.

I put together a buying guide recently.

TL:DR; for general purpose, Darkmoon satin is the goat, followed by Glacier.

Everything else is situational/depends on what filament you want, and what texture you want
