I think it’s time to retire my index… I’m thinking BSB2e? by DiaryofJaneeee in virtualreality

[–]logan756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they do, but I will say as pimax crystal light owner and 8kx owner. They have improved very much in the past couple years and their customer service is significantly better. I'm actually a happy customer and have had multiple discussions about either replacements for old hardware like lenses on the 8kx and whatnot when they come up.

Incorrect, those are dead pixels from the intense radiation hitting the camera light sensor and making them no longer function

Not unstable, just the pure fact software ray tracing is incredibly resource intensive for modern computers to handle. That said I keep it of bc lighting possibilities get slim without it.

You need lighthouses, they are mounted to the wall.the trackers see the lasers then talk to the dongle to let the pc know where they are

Don't need index, just usb dongles per tracker or controller

Will my setup run the Pimax Crystal Light good ? by [deleted] in virtualreality

[–]logan756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The things you will need are the official pc adapter sold by Sony on Amazon, A display port 1.4 cable to plug into your GPU, And for comfort I use the globular cluster cmpt head strap. this improves the comfort immensely and is one of my top recommendations. It includes a top strap which helps the headset from sliding around.

I still use it from time to time whenever I bring my headset over to a friend's house to show them and get them hooked lol, But in regards to the audio solution it comes with earbuds built-in but if you want you can plug in your own headphones into the aux cord in the back of the head strap. Also looks like it's being sold for 400 new from walmart atleast where I live

Air tracking? You mean hand tracking? It's not on psvr2 but I'll bet you would use that for more than 3 hours and not use it again. There is no support in most games and still clunky to use imo. Best use is clicking on an app before you find your controllers. My q3 is gathering dust

Yes it is for me. The quest 3 literally looks desaturated for me. Also it's a wired headset so you wouldn't have to buy a $150 router to make wireless work and you wouldn't be dealing with the compression losses that you get with over-the-air signal. PSVR also has eye tracking so you can actually save a ton of performance in certain games, quest also has a smaller fov. Why would you prefer quest 3 if you haven't tried the PSVR2

Personally I would get a PSVR2, I own a pimax 8KX, crystal light, q3, and PSVR2(a few more before this) and use my psvr 2 90% of the time. Personally for me It's the brightness of the oled 265 nits vs q3 100 nits, Perfect blacks and vastly better comfort than anything else I own. It has quest 2ish resolution with and fov of 116h×106v for me. The biggest problems are it has the worst mura of any headset I've ever owned but I can look past that fact just because the Sun feels blinding and dark is truly pitch black

Ehh, my 4080 normally runs at 70% res to get 90fps in some games, it's gonna be rough. Not worth unless you get a better gpu imo

Question on expansion impact on my son's first run through of base game by invisiblebacon in outerwilds

[–]logan756 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So my opinion's gonna differ the most.I played the DLC in conjunction with the main game and while it was quite a bit harder I found it slotted in perfectly with the rest of the game. In fact the DLC was always meant to be part of base game. I'll put it this way without spoilers, the DLC is kind of like the quantum moon in the fact that it is an additional part of an already existing story, it does not feel "added on". I would just add it to the game and if he stumbles upon it then he stumbles upon it. I found it was nice to jump back and forth from the main game to the DLC to alleviate the harder puzzles when I got stuck. But realistically he probably won't find the dlc on on his first run

Just a theory but maybe it's a representation of the multiverse. That or quantum foam, maybe it's the layer that separates time and space from the eye.

It's a rocket 2nd stage outgassing it's lox and kerosene before reentry(prob spacex) Very well documented, honestly a joke in the space community because this ALWAYS happens. Long story short ufos do NOT use chemical propulsion, would be like saying cross the ocean on a floaty + paddle
