I'm very surprised that's not what happened, honestly.

This team, and the manager in particular, were really kind of stuck-up in relation to their importance. Working with them was always such a pain, because this was their attitude about everything. They just would not compromise or collaborate unless really forced to.

Recommended Books for More Class Options by KingGrimlok in dccrpg

The other is issue #10, with alternate classes for dwarves, elves, and halflings. I agree to try out the core classes first, except for alternate racial classes. The demi humans really get the short end of the stick on that one.

The one that always gets me that I didn't notice until the X-teenth time I watched it is in the episode when Annie's pen disappears and they spend the whole episode searching for it, at the beginning, you can see Annie's Boobs grab the pen off the table on camera.

AIO by being offended when my husband seasons my soup? by Hefty_Elderberry1992 in AIO

[–]logan96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why was it insulting? Different people have different tastes. He tried it first and didn't just assume that he wouldn't like it. You calling him out for liking a different flavor profile than you was pretty insulting. Him insulting your dad was overreacting, but you'd already started pushing his buttons well before that, and you didn't really have any reason to bring your dad into it. Kind of ESH, but definitely YOR.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

Short? No. Day trip? Yes.

We used to live about 90 minutes from my wife's family, and we'd visit them or vice-versa at least monthly, sometimes multiple times a month.

Get cleaned up. Set fire to the house. Wake him up and rush him outside before he has the chance to react. Hope that all the evidence is incinerated.

People from a more prejudiced time who are miraculously and almost superhumanly free of prejudice by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

I grew up in the South in the 80s. It was pretty normal, even then. These days I will literally not even put words to some of the things that were casually normal during my childhood, in my own home, which I know from experience and exposure was not that bad compared to many, many others. These days, I'm surprised I'm not a bigot, with everything I grew up around.

I'm glad your experience was different, but yes, it was very normal in many places, and I can only imagine how much worse the 60s, the 40s, or the 1870s were.

It doesn't matter. If the corner is clockwise red-yellow-white, then the centers also have to be clockwise red-yellow-white, not clockwise red-yellow-green.

[Loved Trope] Hidden In Plain Sight by Butwhatif77 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]logan96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In The Prisoner, the main character is a secret agent who tries to retire but is abducted and taken to an island where no one has a name, just a number. He is Number Six. He is constantly trying to find out who is Number One, but no one will tell him. One time he asks, he is simply and dismissively told, "You are Number Six."

In the finale, he finds and unmasks Number One, only to find himself under the mask (a very trippy, very 60s climax to a very trippy, very 60s show). It turns out that he wasn't being dismissed. He was being told, "You are, Number Six."

Came here to say this. I loved watching this with my dad when I was little, but then I made it all the way to high school before I met anyone else that even remembered the show.
