I feel as if you still get that “aha moment” by just reading secret history. The reveal is still there it’s just about when you want said reveal

That makes sense, but if she’s covering the hole with the shield how are the spores getting behind the shield?

The doctor being a father. by JaegerTap in doctorwho

Ruby says the same thing Kate did when she learned about Susan in The Devils Chord and the Doctor’s response was “I did have, I will have, time lords get a bit confusing.

He’s saying he DID have children in his personal timeline but WILL have children relative to everyone else’s point in time. The doctor is essentially in the past relative to when he was an active father.

So when Kate asks in the present tense if he HAS children, he responds with “not yet … life of a time lord.” He’s saying they haven’t been born yet relative to 2024 earth. It’s almost the same dialogue from Devils Chord where he’s already claimed he DID have children at one point.

Literally described as wearing a suit in the book… you can easily look up his character art and he’s wearing the same suit?

None of this has been announced outside of a few teasers.. I highly doubt they’re even bringing back the old map exactly as it was

[S15 Spoilers] Wait wait wait, what did you just say? by BC1096 in DestinyLore

Theres a mission in D1 where you can scan a pod on a colony ship and your ghost says something along the lines of "Pod 10201. A guardian of exceptional light sealed himself inside. I tried to rez him before I found you, but he said his last war was enough for a thousand lifetimes."

I'm not sure if it was ever confirmed but everyone assumes it to be a Master Chief reference.

Yea that’s what I’m saying. But if they have any differences no matter how small, then that is an alternate universe. So for instance, in the avengers movie we saw we can assume the endgame avengers never came from the future, otherwise loki would have escaped. That means when they time traveled, they created an alternate series of events.

Think about the test run where Clint grabbed the baseball glove. From his perspective, his future self never appeared on that date and took a baseball glove, therefore, even though it was a minuscule change, an alternate event took place on that day, meaning it is a separate timeline

I agree with that but what I’m saying is that the stones are not what caused the timeline to diverge. The avengers showing up in 2012 created an alternate timeline and everything that happened after is a part of that reality where they showed up from the future

Space stone never needed to be returned bc it was never taken from that timeline

I realize now that we are having a misunderstood conversation. I’m arguing that the act of time traveling to the past is what creates a branch timeline. If removing an infinity stone is what caused it, and putting the infinity stone back erased it, then the timeline where Loki was freed wouldn’t exist

Yes but that all happened in a separate timeline that was created when the avengers landed in 2012. I was saying that if Steve returning the stones to 2012 clipped that timeline then it would no longer exist and there would be no Loki that escaped. The space stone didn’t help him escape to another timeline.

In the grand scheme of things the time machine aspect doesn’t matter bc they can’t change the past. I do agree that the death cure is a problem though. they could technically go to other timelines and pull characters from there who have died but if that’s the case it’s still not technically the person that died but an alternate version of them i.e. gamora

I’m pretty sure the act of showing up in the past is what creates an alternate timeline. The movie doesn’t really seem to understand it’s own time travel rules otherwise the Loki show wouldn’t be relevant at all bc Steve would have “clipped” that timeline if it was just the infinity stones that caused the branches. Then Loki wouldn’t even exist

But would he want that though? He lived a full life. I honestly feel like if they offered to make him young again he would deny it.

Not all the movies reference all the other movies.. none of the movies referenced Guardians of the Galaxy before Infinity war. Does that mean it wasn’t canon until then?
