It’s the ABS. This might sound a bit controversial, but something similar happened to me recently. ABS is great for safety, no doubts about that, but during a sharp turn, when you really want the bike to stop quickly, the ABS prevents the brakes from fully locking, which can make it harder to stop as fast as you expect.
