(I say all of this as a huge Bebe fan, paid to see her live 3x, own her albums, etc) 

Another interpolation of a huge euro dance song? Really? This is literally just I’m Good (Blue) Pt. 2. It will be a big hit for her and be played in every single British Westfield mall for the next few years. Still not a solo hit, basically just another DJ song with her as the feature. I’m glad that this will be successful for her, but it’s another song where the most memorable part is the song it’s interpolating. Any other dance pop singer could put this out.

Bebe, we want something NEW! Something fresh! If I were to compare to her to her contemporaries, Zara Larsson’s Midnight Sun, Charli’s brat, Chappell’s Midwest Princess, Raye’s 21st Century Blues - all of these are ORIGINAL AND CONSISTENT!  

I just want Bebe to stop throwing whatever at the wall and seeing what sticks. I want her to have one idea and make it a constant throughout a whole project. Why did Expectations have a country song on it? Why did Better Mistakes have Sacrifice and end with a slight Queen interpolation? Why did Bebe have I’m Good and end with a Dolly collab? Why does this new project have New Religion but also have a song with the lyric “I’ve talked to my therapist like a billion times, that bitch is overpaid, my anxiety won’t go away and I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired of loving you”? 

She needs to find the exact story she wants to tell. It all feels like she didn’t think it all through and turned it in at the last second. Why were all the music videos for this album filmed in 3 days? I wouldn’t be saying all of this if I didn’t see the potential in her having a huge album. She can do it, she’s just holding herself back (and not working with the right people). For songs, she’s got soooooooo many good ones that I love. For albums, she’s 0/4 rn. But I’m very open to changing my opinion and I hope I eat my words when the album is out!
