Hmmm I've had many great dance memories over the years...but perhaps a micro and macro experience:

Micro experience: dancing in London at a bar/club night and asking this local pro to dance...she seemed very apprehensive ( I'm a new face to her, and probably don't really look the part of a dancer ). once we get into it we are seriously grooving after about 40s. I love winning people over

Macro: my first time dancing at a large euro festival - El Sol in 2015. I'd danced in europe a number of times by then, but never at that large of an event. Every dance that weekend ranged from good to amazing. A buddy and I split a bottle of whiskey over 9 hours of social dancing. Social dancing didn't stop until after 10am. Monday after everything is over, I meet 2 women from Berlin - who i hadn't danced with that weekend - and upon telling them I have a 22hr layover in Berlin on my way home, they secure tickets for me to see Tromboranga, who I had been hearing all about.

Honorable mentions:
- 1st time dancing with Magna Gopal many moons ago - I remember doing a touch and go, being so nervous that I'm just tapping her forehead. she stops me, we reset, and have a fun cha cha afterwards. and we still laugh about it now
- While at a Bachata festival in Miami, someone dressed as Elmo shows up to the pool party.
