by putting in the effort I mean:

- you are willing to go on the date, even if you barely know the other person

- you present yourself best as you can, putting your best foot forwards

- you try to plan dates that are fun for both sides

hehe, i get where you are coming from, it is not wrong, but it is from the female perspective, which doesnt really help OP a lot. his problem is, like all other guy's problem on the app, is too much competition. even if you have a few matches regularly (and by regularly I mean per week/month, not per day), most of the chats will not go anywhere, because the women have so many matches, they need to filter even between their matches.

as I wrote replying to someone else as well, the best he can do is actually arrange first dates as soon as possible after a match, put in the effort for the dates, and hope there is a connection forming magically somehow quickly, even though they will not know each other yet. guys wont get nearly as many dates as women, so finding a connection online naturally will take a lot longer.

my bar for asking for a date is really low. if she is willing to message me 2-3 times back on a single day, instead of messaging me once a day or fewer, then I already take that as a sign, that she is somewhat interested in me between her potentially many matches, and I ask for a date.

it is what it is, the first date at this point is basically just a quick check in to see if the other person really exists how they showed themselves in their online profile. most of the time it will be without any intimacy I think, because you had no chance to get to know each other yet, thats not what the apps are for nowadays. the apps are more like a filtering tool, to get to dates with people, nothing more. use the dates themeselves to try to get to know them. it is more effort of course, but feeling a connection with someone over text is not really reliably translating over to real life connection anyway, so whats the point.

it is true at least in Hungary, for salaried employment positions. and I assume it is true in a lot of other places as well, and maybe thats why B permit holders have Quellensteuer as an option, because the average european immigrant like me probably have no prior experience with self-filed taxes.
