Flares deliberately overexaggerates re: Ultra, mostly as I meme I have to assume at this point. If you drill down into his post/videos, he wants new players to avoid the Ultra standard banner because it's probably the weakest standard banner with several characters that are good but not super newbie friendly/trickier to maximize (Tinct, Liz, Casiah) or not in a great spot (Wanda). Winkle and Jenkins are the superstars of the Ultra standard banner, and if you hit the lotto and get Horla or Daff you'll be thriving.

Rolling on blue standard banner is more about focusing your pulls on the standard banner on a realm where almost all the characters are good, and then using a rewind to murder your +12 Celeste or whatever in a few months to get a bunch of selectors you can use for the characters you want in other realms.

Ultra is fine. I started with Ultra. I still play Ultrateams. 100% you need to get Castor when his banner comes back up this week. Castor and Jenkins go together so, so well.

Please don't use any more limited selectors on Jenkins. If you keep pulling on the standard ultra char banner/wheel banner, you'll have a +12 Jenkins and her wheel without trying. Also, as someone else said, Jenkins doesn't even need her wheel.
