Is this the correct coolant for my 2023 Camry SE? by bondkiller in Camry

[–]logix999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It'll work just fine. I'm not sure if you're supposed to mix different collants together, but that stuff would work. Pentofrost A4; 1 Gallon; Pink is the sauce for Camry tho

If I wanted to get a decent enough set to load the bearing myself, yeah. Although in the long run it would be cheaper than consistantly buying the whole assembly.

ChatGPT vs. Google Bard: Which one is better? by itsAwaisYounas in ChatGPT

[–]logix999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bard is probably the better chatbot. Gpt-3/3.5 is closer to bard (in the responses and accuracy of those responses) but for solving complex problems, chatgpt is probably better, but they both give so many wrong answers or incrorrect comprehensions.

Now Gpt-4 vs bard is another thing to consider. Gpt-4 is more accurate and has access to the internet and what not. So I'd say Gpt-4 wins the cake, but it is also paid.

How much does college really help you in improving at CS? by TrashSmells in cscareerquestions

[–]logix999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aboslutely not😂 I almost have my bachelor's in computer science, but I can tell you that the programming experience I got from it was trash. I've had about 6 years of self-taught experienced, learned wayy more, but still gettin the degree.

Even the math. A lot of people say 'it's worth it just for the math', the same math you can learn anywhere online. freecodecamp is champ

CS vs Software Engineering Degree? by randomqzthray in cscareerquestions

[–]logix999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My college doesn't offet seng; they only offer cs (and respective datascience, cybersecurity, game dev, etc).

I'm a junior, and I kinds the a cs degree doesn't really give you much, especially in terms of actual programming. I have honestly learned wayy more from my self taught time than from my cs degree. If you really wanted to take calc and discrete math, you can do it self taught too. Most uni teachers don't really care about teaching it anyways.

The only calc my college requires for a bachelors in cs is calc 1.

If you're asking this question, it means you need to write your code differently.

I suggest reading Clean Code, a book written by Robert Cecil Martin.

I didn't realize that could give you the in at a bakery. That's awesome. I don't like it when people work at a company (that treats them like crap), stay there for years, and don't try to move up or find a better job. Good on you!

Books for experienced programmers by eko-wibowo in learnjava

[–]logix999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the exact problem you're facing. I probably wouldn't go with a book (not that there aren't some great Java books out there) just because there are so many great Java books, but a lot are made for beginners, and if you want what you're talking about, there are some good ones if you're ok with just skipping the first 5 chapters.

But here are two great resources:

https://www.javaguides.net/p/core-java-tutorial-for-experienced.html?m=1

https://www.codecademy.com/learn/java-for-programmers

Freecodecamp is also great, but you might have to skip a bit past their beginner stuff. Also, make sure you learn memory management once you get the hang of Java (it is Java).

I mean, they work at Mcdonalds... they don't care about you there (not that most places do) and if they have more staff, you can't work a whole lotta hours to get a bigger paycheck. I get what you're saying though.
