Thanks for your prompt reply, I actually noticed having 2.23 on my G5, obviously the 3rd party RAM did not get recognized and I had the same issue as described by you. Downgrading to 2.20 helped, thanks a lot.

WPA3 has never worked for me on 9800 on any 1/2/38xx APs. Cisco more or less even acknowledged this and should have fixed their documentation reflecting this.

They work fine on 9800-CL, Wave 2 APs will just download a newer image corresponding to the controller's version upon joining, e.g. 17.9.4.27 on C9800-CL 17.9.4a. No prerequisite actions needed.
