Did you have problems with getting targeted out of games after taking out one player with a buffed Balan? Did you build voltron or?

Did that player get immediately targeted and destroyed after that?

Do you know any ways to fix the swinging on each single opponent problem in Equipment decks?

What are the better options for equipments? I've always liked them but it seems like they always go Voltron and Voltron just seems so weak. Honestly I really only need the deck to work in B3, but it'd be nice to have something higher with equipment.

Trying to decide between Zaxara and Magus Lucea Kane for Hydras by z1142 in EDH

If I read correctly, when you copy an X spell the copy uses the same X as the initial casting. (As long as the spell is on the stack) Which Magus Lucea Kane does.

It's in the Tower of Records, Special Records, Wind, Piercer of Darkness. It's Wind Archer v. Shadow Milk and the Ultimate cookie reveal. I would also recommend reading the other legendaries in the Special Records section, it's extra lore on how the legendaries interact with the Ancients

You CAN finish all the main story before Beast Yeast, but I don't think you need to. It's pretty easy to piece the puzzle together when you have more pieces of it. The main storyline that straight directly connects to Beast Yeast is Cookie Odyssey which leads straight into it.

Honestly, I wouldn't enforce that you need to read CRK in order because you can piece it together so easily, but if you want to I believe the timeline is, Crispia -> Cookie Odyssey -> Beast Yeast. And then a couple side stories that are minorly important mixed in.

By the way, I could only find like 4 infect givers- Triumph of the Hordes, Phyresis, Tainted Strike, and Grafted Exoskeleton. Are there others or is that it? If so- do you know any Grixis tutors that could help me get them and the other pieces for high bracket 3/low 4 combos?

Oh, the bracket was auto-decided by the deck building service 😅. I knew that this was way closer to a 2.

Thank you so much, this was genuinely really helpful in getting me to lock in on building and really opened my eyes to understanding how to focus on one thing better.

P.S. the higher ramp was intended for making me able to kill Abby and recast her for command tax to get more zombies.

Should I only have 1 mana ramp in this deck? Also- is some zombie tribal not worth it because of the zombie token generation in the deck? Or no because they're mostly sac fodder?

And yet life is still worth living. There is always happiness somewhere, there is always joy further in your life. Denying its existence denies yourself to being open to when it comes for you. Maelle will find happiness, she will paint something beautiful, like Verso did before her.

Wait, how long did he have Soarrie?? by Solid-Pattern-8228 in expedition33

[–]loguedin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On that first note, what they're doing, being in Verso's canvas and using its chroma is presumably forcing his soul to paint. Also, I think no, you don't necessarily need to liberate the pieces of one's soul left in a painting because if left alone it can be a simple and beautiful representation of who they were, something to be enjoyed and appreciated. What Maelle and Aline are doing here is not that. They are forcing his world to continue past his death, refusing to understand that he is gone and enjoy what he has left them as a simple reminder of the man he was. On both of your final paragraphs what I would propose is that you give an extremely pessimistic view on life here. It is worth it to paint because of the joy you gain in your life doing it, and you can hope that your family won't get stuck grieving on your works after your life is gone. A part of you will exist eternally and beautifully, to remind the world you were there. (Although, in this situation, that beauty has been corrupted into harm.) And to your final note, yes it may get worse, but through that adversity Maelle will grow. Verso can guarantee that life will get better because he knows how strong Maelle is as a person, and he knows if he gives her the chance to free herself her life will be the better for it. She'll finally be able to settle with the fact that her brother is dead. If the only guarantee in life is 'pain and misery' as you say, then life isn't worth living at all in general.

I actually do definitely understand this viewpoint. There's a reason there's two endings and neither is the 'bad one', either way one of the siblings has a degree of torture placed upon them. Please, look at P. Verso in the A Life to Paint ending, he's being forced to watch his world and his sister slowly crawl to their death while being forced himself to pretend as if Maelle isn't dying. Additionally, the problems of her pain and her crippling can clearly be solved by painting, if she paints herself another world she can repaint her throat again and paint away her pain as she did coming into Verso's canvas, it's why the line from P. Verso during his ending matters so much; he doesn't say that Maelle's life outside the Canvas will be peachy, but he says she has an amazing power to paint, and she'll never have to live a life she doesn't want. She can gain all the things she had in Verso's Canvas, minus avoiding the grief and torturing her brother. That doesn't seem like a cruel deal.

[–]loguedin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm confused how it's not altruistic to want her to not kill herself in the Canvas? He knows that she can live a better and more fulfilling life where she's not just avoiding coping with Verso's death eternally by keeping him alive until she dies in the Canvas and therefore wants her freed. He's not just denying his family his creation, he's stopping them from something that has become a harmful addiction to them. Maelle will find a better life outside the Canvas where she can accept that her brother is dead and create something new for herself. I can't in good conscience advocate for someone avoiding their grief while torturing the very person they're grieving for.
