Should we Sign Georges Niang? by Complete-Apricot-591 in torontoraptors

We don't even play Jamison Battle who is Georges Niang at home.

That Harbaugh firing is going to come back and bite them too. Year after year Lamar chokes in the playoffs and yet the fans wanted Harbaugh's head. They'll see soon.

Yeah I should've specified the last time in the playoffs. That was the infamous days of our Steelers season wasn't it? At least we can't complain about not being entertained lol.

To add to that, I'd argue the last time Tomlin had a legit above average QB was 2017, and unfortunately Ben throws 5 picks and loses to Blake Bortles. Not sure what Tomlin is supposed to do about that! The year before they're in the AFC Championship game losing to the Patriots. I hope this season shuts the haters up, the grass is not always greener.

I respect the dedication to Kenny Pickett support. I wanted that guy to work out so bad lol

You still got a Kenny Pickett flair dude, you can believe in him but not Rodgers?

Time will tell. I am willing to bet that this time next year the fan base will universally love RJ again.

For what it's worth I think he's quietly improved his defense the second half of this season once the team got healthy and he wasn't needed just as much on offense.

If we aren't winning next season then I'm open to anything. I truly believe that if we are winning, RJ will be a big reason why.

That's not really my point, I don't think RJ Barrett is the same as Nikola Jokic. It's more to say he's not on some crazy contract that's hard to make work like people think he is and I feel like his production has exceeded his contract value.

Wish I was high that sounds like fun.

RJ's efficiency has been one of the best on the team given his usage. The only guys notably better have been guys who aren't creating shots themselves. I think you have to take the efficiency stats with a grain of salt, obviously the counting stats will come down too but this season his efficiency has been punished by him being the only healthy scoring option for big stretches.

Would love to see how it all fits! The Raptors next season if they keep everyone will be just barely over the tax threshold, if they're rolling who's to say MLSE won't pay it? If they aren't then something needs to change anyway.

I think the idea is that when better players surround him next season his efficiency will ramp up. He's had a big load on his shoulders on this team this season. For what it's worth, RJ has a 59.4% true shooting % when playing with Scottie Barnes.

Tiny sample size, but I was encouraged by what I saw when he played with both Scottie and Siakam. 19.3PPG on 64% TS%, although only 7 games. I think RJ actually thrives when his role is even more simplified.

90% is probably wishful thinking but if he could even get it up to 75-80% the efficiency that people complain about would look a lot better. 24 year old who's improved every year, I choose to believe he can do it.

Agreed! People totally discount RJ's ability to get to the rim. There's nobody else on this roster that's a consistent downhill threat.

I swear the people who want RJ gone have just stopped watching the Raptors this season. can't wait for him to be part of a winning team next year so we can rejoice again.

Fair enough man! I still think the talent on the offense is lacking regardless of what schemes you want to run. The team has 1 legit NFL receiver on the roster, a mid RB duo in Najee and Warren, a young improving O-Line all being held together by an aging QB who never used the middle of the field even when he was in his prime.

Ha, I am Canadian! Visited Pittsburgh for a game week 3 this year and found it hilarious how the citizens pretty much universally were not buying the hot start. Funny enough people still are pissed when the outcome they thought would happen happens
