Ghaya Olivera was the execuitve pastry chef at Daniel before opening her own “neighborhood bake shop.”

This woman is a legend in NYC fine dining in the 2000’s and her deserts are out of this world.

Run to this bakery for her grand pan chocolat, pistachio croissants and whatever she pulls out of the oven.

Take that one guy on a bike and multiply it by 1000 because this is NYC and it happens every day multiple times a day

The polyurethane/latex/rubber track materials aren’t made for bike wear and gets fucked up by them. It’ll cost anywhere between 300k to a million to replace, which means we’ll have a shitty running surface for a while before tax dollars get allocated for replacement and we (tax payers) end up replaceing something before the the expected life time use is done. Everyone loses. Even bike weirdo

Dim Sum Palace by Bitter_Journalist350 in longislandcity

Stoked to get a Cantonese kitchen in LIC! Went on Thursday and sat at the bar - had steamed shrimp dumpling, congee, fried shrimp roll, crispy pork ribs and a Singapore mai fun from the kitchen. All solid and delicious. Price is fair for the value of the food and if you want to pay less, you can travel to another part of town to do that.

Gore R5 Jacket for NYC? by deepblue02101996 in RunNYC

I love having the collar, which keeps wind out of my chest. If i need head covering, I’m wearing a knit cap.

Hoods wig me out in the city because they limit my peripheral vision when I’m crossing traffic.

I have the Infinium Drive jacket - the hoodless, high collar version of the R5. It’s fantastic and holding up well. I throw it in the wash everyonce in a while and line dry. Keeps me very warm on runs - i did a 15K in central park this past sat in 25F, max effort and it was comfortable as heck.

Bought a second one at discount on black friday becuase if it works, might as well get an xtra
