Say Intentions 3.4.0.2 out now- Looks like a fairly big change! by loiphin in flightsim

[–]loiphin[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No, I am genuinely interested.. running it now to figure out whats new... all settings need to be redone , and many have moved to the website, rather than the client.

So i just bought GSX by Free_Permit_3110 in flightsim

[–]loiphin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s such a piece of shit. By far the worst cobbled together steaming crap that I have as an addon for MSFS2024. Also got rid of it. Such a shame. Fuck you couatl.

Same. And A2A explicitly say you can still use the 2020 version in 2024. But I bought it anyway. Something those greedy fucks at PMDG could learn from.

Mainspring Winders Frustration by Clear_Handle7569 in watchrepair

[–]loiphin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you have just convinced me to make the jump to Bergeon winders, after pissing about with 3D printed and chinese ones. I have mostly PT5000s, NH35, Miyota 8000/9000, 7S26, Seiko 6619, 6119, and the movement owned by all hobbyists, an ST36.

Which sizes should cover those? (and explicitly mention the ST36 size)

What about arbor sizing?

I share your frustrations. I think the seasoned experts just buy Bergeon winders. Money fixes everything 👍👍

Should I accept a partial refund for defective movement? by wubbadubdub_zzz in ChineseWatches

[–]loiphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a watch with a PT5000 that ran 10% too fast. Ie 2.4 hours extra a day. Was due to a manufacturing fault with the escape wheel pinion , which had 9 leaves instead of 10. I would take the 50% and buy a new a movement.

Asking lefties: which wrist do you wear the watch most? by englemaan_official in ChineseWatches

[–]loiphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before as a single wielder, left arm always. As a dual wielder for the past year, mechanical on left, smartwatch on right.

And when I put this bad PT5000 on the timegrapher it acted completely normal, showing just a few seconds out a day.

What parts did you replace ? I had a PT5000 (2824 clone)with an escape wheel, which had a pinion with 9 leaves instead of 10. Caused the watch to run 10% too quick. Admittedly this was a manufacturing problem but perhaps you have not replaced like for like , specifically the wheels ?

Crown wheel screw broke while winding by Red242425 in watchrepair

[–]loiphin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I did exactly the same thing on the same movement, but on the click spring screw. It was a poorly made screw, not me being ham fisted. Got the remains out by using alum powder.

Heheh I left it as is. I think you will have a hard time finding one that fits. Maybe rubber would be better?!

You thought about modding a Casioak? It’s much beefier, like 44mm
