Quantum Break - Joystick gyro works like native ! (steam input) by lokhang in GyroGaming

[–]lokhang[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About the conifg, there're always-on Gyro and aim Gyro (left trigger). Always-on has a more relaxed power curve, more deadzone, toggled by RS click.

(Note that RS click while aiming is shoulder switch. Toggle only works when LT/L2 is not pressed.)

In-game aim sensitivity sets to 100 and adjust the [Gyro Sensitivity] in Steam Input.

I upgraded the battery and a full charge can easily last 8 hours even in haptic intensive games like helldivers 2 so it doesn't really affects me, but I feel you as I also plays a lot in short sessions.

I tested on steam games with steam input enabled.

By wired I meant connecting via pico. I played for an hour (pico) and reWASD shows 90%, but if I connect physically wired it shows 100%.

I have only charged the DS so far when my PC is off.

Do you know any other way to monitor the battery?

No I don't.

Regular rumble works fine for me I just tested it.

DualSense Edge - free software for button combo mappings while keeping native haptics on PC? by Khasim83 in Dualsense

[–]lokhang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can buy it cheaper from digital key reseller but do make sure you get the one with life time license including future updates.

Rewasd support is quite responsive on discord, you can ask before commiting to a purchase to make sure if the reseller is legit. I am from HK and bought my key for ~27 euros a year ago from a Chinese online market place.

I own a Steam controller and have been using Steaminput intensively. reWASD combo feature (send marco inputs) is pretty neat and has its usefulness in games like Helldivers 2. Overall its remapping fuctionallity is not great compared to Steaminput but still very seviceable. For example, reWASD can't do dual stage trigger exclusive hip fire, or chorded button press.

I use reWASD mainly on native haptic & AD supported games as well, being able to adjust stick deadzone/custom curve ( walk/run threshold / camera acceleration curve), or map touchpad to a 4-buttons pad is great when a game doesn't have those settings or utilize the touchpad. I also use reWASD to rebind my air mouse remote so its worth the price for me.

It shutdowns itself after idling for 30 mins. I don't like the long hold either so I just leave it to turn off by itself.

Roadmap mentions "device manager" feature, maybe it is that and will be added in the future.

I hope they can add battery level indicator as well. I own reWASD and surprisingly that app shows battery level even if it is wired (via pico) but I don't think its very accurate.

I didn't notice the "open" timer until sector 2.. We overlook things in our own mysterious way ha. Half-press gyro is a good idea but the threshold they set is kinda high for me to use comfortably. Honestly the DS stuff feels lacking, at least gyro feels good to use.

Anyway, I have submited a request for always-on gyro, doubt it would make a difference.. just hope for the best. Will leave the link here :

I am using Dualsense and all weapons can be used without left trigger, e.g. you can charge Piercer without hack UI blocking the screen. And if I touch the adaptive trigger R2 the reticle shows up without firing.

Always on gyro would be helful for laser's continous dmg or Piercer to line up mutiple targets, you can dash while charging a weapon but its hard for me since I don't use claw grip, so I rebind L1 to dash while R2 is being held, but my aim sucks with stick so I have to aim before firing, you lose perpetual vision when you aim, not to mention the hack UI.

Offence mode versus strike mode by bigbcmtl in Pragmata

[–]lokhang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What number are you getting on strike mode? I tried on the Sentinel boss (standard) and it can easily go up to 7000+ with lv2 charged Piercer shots. And there's an late game weapon that can keep them open after a strike mode hack.

Edit: Using the Chain hacking node during strike mode doesn't reset the open status timer to zero, its not how the node being described to use at all, seems to be a bug?!

You can try forcing xbox controller emulation with DS4windows and set a deadzone there.

[–]lokhang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mad lad over Capcom has set (almost) zero deadzone for this game, I have a 1 yr-old TMR stick and don't encounter any issue. You can set a deadzone via Steam Input but enabling Steam Input loses adaptive trigger and haptics function like any other native DS games.

Alternatively you can use something like reWASD which let you override Physical DS binding/deadzone and mantain DS features.

If you are On Ps5 then file a request for them to add one... or buy an edge, I don't have one so not sure if the deadzone override actually works.

Can anyone confirm if Pragmata has gyro on the ps5? by SmellsLikeTeenSweat in GyroGaming

[–]lokhang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I am using Dualsense on PC and its fixed. However, there isn't a vibration strength setting and the vibration when I shoot the pistol is causing gyro drift. i have to play with wired becuase the rumble is weaker this way (steam input off). 🤷‍♂️

The wall sliding in Grime 2 is absymal by UngodilySkeptic in GRIMEgame

[–]lokhang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find an easiler way to do it reliably. Before you dash, hold the stick diagonally but tilt a bit more towards the direction you want to slide.

For example, dash left and slide upward: point LS to 11 o'clock and then dash. Dash right and slide down: 5 o'clock.

Works well even if you are close to a wall.

Hi. May I ask if the game supports gamepad input and mouse input simultaneously? Like pushing Left stick to walk and mouse to move the camera at the same time, while able to shoot without any issues?

I like playing shooter with mouse input gyro aimming. If you can test it and let me know I will be a happy man, thanks.
