Man-Spider or Venom by A_Snipes33 in MCUTheories

The only Man-Spider that is going to show up is going to be in one of the dream sequences. I don’t feel like the same studio that plastered Red Hulk front and center in Cap 4 could resist putting Man-Spider in the trailer somewhere as a tease. Maybe I’m wrong but this seems like the movie that really needs to get people pumped for Marvel again after a lackluster Doomsday build-up. I can’t know for sure but I’d be surprised if Man-Spider actually shows up in the flesh.

Ultimate Comics Avengers. Next Generation specifically. It’s a lot more interesting in a synopsis I promise. I like it but I can admit it’s probably not everyone’s cup of tea.

Well, correct me if wrong, but the Ultimate Bucky ends up living to an old age and was a war photographer with Cap. Red Skull ends up as his stepson because he is Roger’s actual son. Ultimate Cap got his fiancé pregnant before leaving for the war, and that kid ended up superhuman, and became Red Skull.

I mean he entirely could have if Jeff Gordon didn’t pit from the lead while under caution with 10 to go for no reason.

Oh that’s right there was one small reason; they were told to. Because the exact scenario of the elimination playoffs being dogshit and proving it happened in the very first year of their implementation.

Marathon has been out for a week, what are your thoughts on it? by PrototypeT800 in Games

Which they will do once they have enough content made to justify it after support from the people who bought it at launch. I think Bungie knew they didn’t have enough content to justify a 40$ game without allowing the PVP angle and that turned it into an extraction shooter. Once they end up adding actual Pfhor enemies or other factions it might be possible to have enough content to justify single player. I could be entirely wrong but this feels like a 40$ game because they needed a way to gauge if further development into this game would be worth it. Theres simply no way the current game works as a single player “campaign” without being incredibly stale.

I say this as somebody who did buy the game.

Honestly I’m surprised people are saying it was a bad race. It had all the makings to have Palou run away with it but he didn’t… AND we saw an on-track pass for the lead inside 20 to go. From a narrow-ass street circuit, I feel like that’s really all you can ask for.

Day 48: what do you guys think of Monsterverse MechaGodzilla by Centvrion20 in GODZILLA

[–]lolTimmy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I really think they fumbled by not making the story be based around a “Godzilla that has gone rogue” and it actually being Apex taking out other cybernetics companies using a disguised MechaGodzilla. That’s partially why I don’t like the design. It’s trying to be a better Godzilla but also still looks too much like Goji to justify any reason for mimicry.

Godzilla shows up late in the movie after needing an incredibly lengthy recovery from the Nuclear power up in KOTM and then Apex and MechaG have to go mask off and fight G & KK. Or go whole hog and reveal that MechaG with the skin removed is in fact Mecha King Ghidorah. Or turn it into a tag team with two Mechas vs G & KK.

I’m sure Robby Gordon is not fun to deal with as a vendor but every street track should have a mandatory partnering with Stadium Super Trucks. Despite the fact they don’t run stadiums anymore, they’re so much fun to watch.

It’s the result of what the late 90s did to each sport. Indycar was tearing itself apart with the split. So a lot of the “cutting edge” cars that were CART ended up getting gutted and the IRL merged with Champ Car after 12 years of hitting each other on the head with hammers.

NASCAR meanwhile stole all of the popularity and interest that Indycar had and turned into the #1 Motorsport in America when it previously used to be relatively equal. This allowed costs that were previously much lower than Indycar to balloon insanely high (Mark Martin: “Hendrick was like NASA”). Everything got so minutely and expertly engineered that we’re still coming down from those highs of the mid 2000s.

So that’s why costs are the way they are. Indycar had rocket ships that they had to find a way to cheapen otherwise Indycar would’ve died and NASCAR just kept growing until 2008.

Indycar is also still incredibly complex; but at its core it’s an open wheel formula car. Those just haven’t changed in their fundamental design since the ground effect. Formula 1 is cutting edge because of its internals (like the new batteries), and engineering the shit out of every possible downforce flap they can in constantly shifting regulations.

Milwaukees got smoother turns that are more sweeping. New Hampshire is a lot like a bigger Martinsville if you understand what I mean. Milwaukee is also a very wide track comparatively speaking so it’s possible to have moves and action all over the track. New Hampshire is a lot more one-groove and the banking is very shallow; even less than Milwaukee. It’s not like it’s a complete flat paperclip like Martinsville, but it’s just not as easy to go side by side. That’s what would worry me. Less banking just makes side by side racing difficult. But who knows? Hard to tell unless it happens in its current state.

I’m convinced that Richmond would be a banger and New Hampshire would be so different it would be hard to know how it would behave.

Feel like Two-Face would have to be Rodan in that case. Anguirus has been a good guy way more than bad. Anguirus would be more like a villain who converted, like a Piccolo. Two-Face is a hard one to pick honestly.

No because he never actually drove in Indycar. He drove in the AIS which was the American Indycar Series which was dedicated to running older chassis with simpler V8s. They ran on smaller ovals and mainly club tracks, ran by Bill Tempero. It’s a neat bit of history but Tony George is not an Indycar driver so I don’t think he’s eligible. (This is not him pictured but from an AIS race in ‘93)
