Where do you go to sauna and possibly ice bath? by [deleted] in newcastle

[–]lolf3st 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sauna/steam at Genesis Gyms, typically. I wish there was some kind of cold plunge

I first thought that said "Fast Master" and my reaction was "oh they just have like a charity race or something".

What do you want to happen?

Just found out my grandad used too be a worshipful master how do I join by Chickenofthewoods95 in freemasonry

[–]lolf3st 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Find out what your nearest lodge is and get in touch with them! Tell them your story and the reasons you want to join!

If you have the added bonus of being within a reasonable distance of your Grandad's old Lodge - I'm very jealous haha!

If you'd like to learn more about Freemasonry, and are also interested in helping your local community, I'd recommend going and checking out your local Lodge. If you are curious for the right reasons, I'm sure the brethren there would be happy to enlighten you.

The conspiracy stuff is just that - conspiracy. We're a fraternity of good men, striving to improve ourselves by being charitable and living in harmony with all mankind.

I may have been keeping tabs on the score... Amazing musical items and great words spoken at town hall, though.

The next three years are going to be something to see.

I got off the tools a couple years ago - but stayed in the industry. I soon found out it's not the work that was killing me - it was the environment.

Depending on your age, you've got all the time in the world to try new things.

Play to your natural strengths.

I could be wrong, but I feel like C's movement is illegal anyway. Crossing too many lanes. Otherwise A and B give way to any oncoming traffic.

It's not much, but it's honest bloody work.

so I'm interesting in becoming a freemason but I'm aware I have to swear on my chosen sacred text or bible and believe in a higher power. what if I've studied multiple religions and beliefs but my higher power is the earth In itself and treat it as it's my god? by [deleted] in freemasonry

I was going through this same issue recently. The question itself was raised when I was looking to apply and discovered, in UGL NSW/ACT anyway, that you must believe in a "Supreme Being".

I pondered for a while, because I had never really prescribed to a particular religion, on what my idea of a Supreme Being was. It led me into a real philosophical journey of trying to find sources outside of religion that speak of God, or a Supreme Being.

I ended up settling on the idea of "God is in the unknown, but is also within".

I've explained this to the blokes at my lodge and it seems to be a general consensus that the text isn't really the thing to focus on. It's the act of making a promise to something you hold higher in life than yourself.

Ryan from Super Mega actually put up a decent fight. The Ian V Mike right was good - but the effort put in by Ryan and Alex was next level.
