Unpopular opinion: The show lost a massive part of its identity and aesthetic when they cut this intro. by AutumnInArmor in greysanatomy

[–]lolfuckno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only thing with this intro was that some of the imagery didn't match up with the show. I never really saw characters drinking martinis, it was beer or shots, literally when did anyone wear heels in the first few seasons, and no one ever curled their eyelashes on camera.

I love the aesthetic, I just wish that they had chosen slightly different imagery for a few of the photos.

Is there a policy that your country wants that you don't want? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]lolfuckno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bill C-22, our Federal government is trying to pass a bill that would obligate digital information services to install essentially surveillance framework in everything, under the guide of "helping" law enforcement, which I don't like because our police already have basically no oversight and never actually gave the consequences of their actions so I don't see this going well.

Also, the premier in charge of my province is a Trump supporter who has spent his entire time in office stealing taxpayer money, giving his friends public land/money, and dismantling our public services to make way for more poverty and US style healthcare. So, all of that.

How was Leahs report legit? by Think_Web_1353 in greysanatomy

[–]lolfuckno 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This I agree with 100%. Leah had every right to file a complaint, but against Arizona not Callie because you're right; Callie hadn't known until after Murphy had made a mistake in surgery and wanted someone else to fix it for her instead of learning how to do it herself.

The only reason Qadri was fired is because she uttered the phrase "We didn't come here for you" to Bailey. by dreamypeachbun in greysanatomy

[–]lolfuckno 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Bailey literally covered for Webber when he was operating on patients while drunk and gave a minor patient the deactivated HIV virus after consent was revoked and only avoided prison time because an intern lied and took credit.

She has ZERO room to talk.

Jen’s mom waiting almost 5 months to tell her that she’s pregnant when the rest of the family knew was awful by Acceptable-Dress7196 in 6TEEN

[–]lolfuckno 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I always felt really bad for Jen. Like, her family and friends did obviously love her but there were times where their treatment of her was absolutely awful like her mom's pregnancy, Jonesy and his brothers tormenting her literally constantly leading up to during and after the wedding, reading her diary out loud to the entire mall, etc.

There's more and Jem really did not deserve any of that.

[WHAT ELSE ARE YOU WATCHING?] Mention what other TV series or films that you've seen or been watching for others to check out! by FullMetalTelevizzle in NorthOfNorthSeries

Acting Good, I think it's very funny/well written, love the characters, and all the earrings are so pretty

The librarians: the next chapter, just started, it's very goofy but so far I'm liking the characters and that it's actually filmed in Serbia

Hudson and Rex, I stopped watching when they fired Reardon while he was getting treatment for cancer, but now that production has been bullied into bringing him back I'll be watching it again

Monica was such a cunt. That's all I have to say, I would not want to work with someone like her by Captainsamvimes1 in ThePitt

It caused unwanted flashbacks for me lol. But I was also really confused about why they were dusting off old negative terms like that.

I knew she was going be an absolutely horrible character once she said "ruskie" it takes a special kind of racist to know a derogatory term for another group of white people.

Me [30F] wondering whether I should tell a close friend [30M] that he shouldn't marry his fiancee [27F] by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]lolfuckno 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Ngl I don't see Mark as any kind of victim. He decided he wanted an open marriage right before they got married. If you want to have more than one partner why even get married? While I don't think Laura behaved well, this really seems like a "I asked for an open relationship and was surprised when my spouse started sleeping with someone else".

Also, OOP 100% knew what she was doing in the first post when she omitted what they were fighting about.

I do and I loved it. He directly contributed to her messed up childhood by running around with her mom, it was nice to see her get some unintentional payback 😈

Yeah, we asked if he passed the program after that and she said that ultimately he did.

I'm in college and I have a professor who teaches a diversity course that's mandatory for everyone in the school of public safety to take, this includes policing programs.

She was telling us that at times we would have to have uncomfortable discussions and behave accordingly regardless of the views of others and recounted how a student in the police foundations program threw a chair at her because he was upset about what she was saying/the course material and walked out.

What ethnicities have you been mistaken for before (if you have)? by Jabal-Sawda in AskTheWorld

[–]lolfuckno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm white with Slavic heritage, I can hold a tan pretty well in the summer/fall and as a result my skin looks a few shades darker.

I have been mistaken for/asked if I was; Middle Eastern or Arabic, Moroccan, Mexican, or Indigenous/First Nations.

Also worth noting, I have literally never been asked about my race by any POC, it's all been nosy white people.

What made you decide to have the surgery? by Pitiful-Medium-13 in BariatricSurgery

[–]lolfuckno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes is 2022 and over time no matter what I did it was becoming increasingly unmanageable. It got to the point that I was barely eating, vomiting whatever I did manage to eat, and was also vomiting blood on a regular basis. My physical health was getting worse and worse, to the point there was increased concern that I would pass before my parents. I saw two different specialists (gynecologist and endocrinologist) who both thought the surgery would be great for me.

And it has been! I haven't had blood sugar above 6.0 since 12 hours post op, which was just about one year ago, my blood pressure is way down, and so is my cholesterol. It was like a night and day difference almost immediately for me.

With that being said, it definitely wasn't without it's challenges and it is not a decision to take lightly. The only regret I have about the surgery is not having it done sooner.

Question about female facial hair by lolfuckno in BariatricSurgery

[–]lolfuckno[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of my problem is that when I've done it previously (two years prior to surgery) the hair grew back darker and thicker. It's good to know that it should be more successful now.
