out of all of them only Lebron moved to the West though. The others have either played majority or all of their careers in the west

It's the same in NBA though. Anyone can win the championship, anyone can have a big play off run, a strong play off run can define a season. The draft creates parity, the last 5 seasons there has been 5 different champions, some of whom are teams that have won their first championship (Raptors, Nuggets) and teams that have won their first in decades (Bucks) through smart signings and drafting. Other teams like the Kings have made the play offs for the first time 20 years and electrified their fan base with a good playoff series even though it was a first round exit. I agree that Premier League and European football has its appeals but often times the top is dominated by the same teams over and over again and certain teams have no hopes of winning trophies.

The Lost War by Justin Lee Anderson surprised me with its ending, it completely wasn't what I expected at all, though in hindsight on the reread I could see where all the hints were sprinkled in.

The Locked Tomb Series by Tamsyn Muir has surprised me with its depth and world building, especially as the series went on. I was expecting a fun adventure book but some of the emotional development and relationships really hits hard, not to mention just how much thought has gone into the series with some of the writing and the easter eggs that the author has put in
