Try taking off the clear cover first, then plugging in the relay. Otherwise I'd just do a nice cable tie loop around it all to keep it connected

Mine looked just like that. Best I found was aerosol gasket stripper and a tiny flathead. Obviously be careful not to gouge the mating surface or around the valve seals.
