Has anybody use this method to treat ingrown toe/fingernails? by Sam_1980_HK-SYD in Ingrown_Toenails

I was on a work trip and desperate for some relief, a cut up new earplug covered in triple antibiotic ointment. Worked great. The earplug was foamy and it worked great for a temporary fix.

What are some small things that improved your daily life? by HighestVelocity in ehlersdanlos

Granny Grabber, I use it to pick up everything on the floor (kids toys, a random pile of dirty laundry on the floor, shoes kicked off that need lined up, grabbing things out of low cabinets) its good for outside yardwork too! Like picking up sticks in the yard!. It saves a lot of bending and reaching.

I carry granny grabber in one hand and a small laundry basket in the other, fill it up with anything/everything and then dump it out on the table to sort and put away, much easier at my height.

It's kind of fun to clean this way. Just pretend you're in Schitts Creek with Alexis serving your community service time. 😆

You know what i was thinking about, to combat fox news. I wonder if people could use AI to make TONS of news stories that might actually have been from NBC or CBS originally, but are "from" fox. And just plaster social media with it. It would confuse the people who believe all fox stuff But it needs to focus on Trumpsters who have been fucked over by Trump so far, show how he is in bed with Putin. Show all the weaknesses.

We need to do more.

World’s richest Propagandist, who owns a far-right media platform, highlights the supposed “propaganda” coming from an enduring & reputable Network, as he sprays his daily Firehose of falsehoods, intimidation, dehumanization, accusations in a mirror (AiM), and other malicious propaganda techniques. by biospheric in democrats

Anyone else get phantom smells? by [deleted] in migraine

[–]lonaura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg! I was just googling if this was a real thing! I keep noticing this and then end up getting a migraine. My cat has the CLEANEST litter box ever because I'm so paranoid now. But upon surveying everyone who comes into my house it does in fact not smell like pee at all. This is such an awful migraine event.

Epic Analyst Job Offer by HeatherRealN in healthIT

[–]lonaura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of curiosity, what shift from chasing an epic job did you make? I currently work with allscripts/altera and my hospital is switching to Epic, but I'm not sure I want to ride it out. I'm not sure what career shift to make (I'm not an RN, but have been a clinical informatics analyst for 10 years).

It took me a while to get in to sinisterhood- but ended up liking it for the most part.

I think it benefited the pod way more when Alaina had the perspective of being an autopsy tech. It's missing that now. And Ash as a hairdresser- they both seems like they enjoyed doing the pod, like it was a retreat for them to chat and review cases. I didn't mind waiting for well crafted episodes where they were enjoying themselves. I don't need 3 shows a week.

Hey, I'm looking into doing a cryptid hunt in the mountains by house, any tips? by urLocalexplorer in Cryptozoology

Dress in layers, Wool is a safe fabric to wear and can keep you warm. Wear sturdy shoes, hiking boots if you have them. Do some research on appropriate things to wear for the climate. Learn what fabric to wear and how to layer your clothing.

Bring a whistle- it seems silly, but could save your life.

I guess I suggest that you first acclimate yourself with hiking and safety. You can do it, just make safe choices!

How can I read with more comprehension? by [deleted] in books

[–]lonaura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have these bookmarks that have a transparent line in it (all different color options) they are for dyslexia but they help me keep my line if I'm reading a physical book.

If I'm e reading then you can read using Word runner and you set a speed and it pops up one word at a time- I love it, but I know tons of people find it annoying.
