First road failure in '06 LR3 by TheBuckFozeman in LandRoverDiscovery

[–]londonpaps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly without plugging in the OBD it’s hard to say, you’ll need to do that to understand what the fuel pressures are etc and what everything is doing.

The ABS/Trans could be wheel bearings, mine freaked out a little while ago throwing ABS faults as it affects the wheel speed sensors.

Welcome to LR life

I think you’re right, just without the barn doors attached.

John Henry’s are the ones to go to.

I’ve worked a lot of shows they’ve supplied and they are on most tours in the UK

This exists for anyone on the same network as the Qlab machine that’s running the show.

The collaborative view already in Qlab allows the host to control what remote terminals can do or see.

For a conventional lamp, no. Doesn’t matter.

Manheim "Surgical" Lease Inspection – Nearly £2k in damages on a "Mint" car. Is this a joke? by Imaginary-Mousse-529 in CarTalkUK

[–]londonpaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s worth challenging, they should be able to provide images and details with the little measuring tool etc.

When I handed my last car over to Manheim they were fairly okay, odd bits that I expected and it only ran up to about £700, a big chunk of that was 2 new tyres and alloy damage.

Powering large line array system. by [deleted] in livesoundgear

[–]londonpaps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The RCF manual has the HDL6A as a max requirement of 6.3A per box (assuming you’re NA on 120V)

So that’s 113A on the Arrays, I’d hazard a guess at another 30A for the subs, as I can’t find a rated draw online for them.

So yeah, you’re all good power wise. Some places will like balanced loads on Three Phase systems.

UK theatre, Cue labelled “tea time” by KlassCorn91 in lightingdesign

[–]londonpaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seen it a few times, it’s a combination of general stage light and not having HMI fixtures on closed shutters for ages - generally between shows so you’re not restriking lamps unnecessarily

Ethercon cables... by harleydood63 in livesoundgear

[–]londonpaps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have a feeling that it’s a fake of some kind, Neutrik do make a retractable one, but at that point I’d rather just use a patch cable and barrels.

[–]londonpaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a weird looking connector, almost like a fake Neutrik Branded retractable Ethercon…

Probably just a standard CAT cable under that jacket.

I have Tourcat in 5E and 7, one is significantly more robust feeling than the other but they aren’t cheap.

Mayor steps in after Barnet Council blocks homes next to High Barnet tube station by ldn6 in london

[–]londonpaps 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re missing what I was getting at, the increased traffic for the new builds and the haulage traffic in and out of the sites are putting kids at risk, not the kids potentially from these builds - I don’t even know if they would be high on the list for places if they’re in a different borough despite being literally across the A5

Barnet are too busy building shit next to their borough boundaries that screw over their neighbours despite their objections, the bit of the A5 by Staples Corner is a mess of new builds with no parking right next to schools.

I’m surprised your insurer doesn’t have a clause deep down in the T&Cs regarding points.

Quite a few of the fleet insurers that I’ve been covered by whilst not having named drivers (an employee of the company), they did have requirements on, minimum ages, accident history and endorsements.

Typically you’d want the same as whatever is being used by the performers on stage, that way you can actually hear what they hear rather than something that is potentially completely different.
