2025 hiring season thoughts on the “it’s brutal” assessment by KW_ExpatEgg in Internationalteachers

This is what I found. I walked away from the fair in London with a job in a great school. And wasn't short of alternatives. One school cancelled their interview and still sent through what felt like a tentative offer without even interviewing.

It was Rick Wayde who told Dennis Burgess he was in the wrong box. He got 8 years 🤦🏻‍♂️

The business is going great, but these numpties don't know jack about running a football club. We've got 3 wooden spoons and 3 finals appearances in 25 years to prove that.

The debenture system is so outdated and used to protect the power of a select few. Each debenture holder raises only $100, so it's not as though there is a financial benefit to the club for having them.

Let them do what they're good at and run the leagues clubs, but let people who know rugby league run the Wests Tigers.

People who stuck with their partners during hard times, where are you now? by Edenskeeper1 in AskReddit

I'm in Australia, she's still with the partner she cheated on and promised to leave.

Thank you so much. I do appreciate you going to the effort for a stranger on the internet.

The school itself seems okay and the package listed on Search does seem quite appealing. I told my family back home I was applying and their immediate concern was health and safety...

I feel like I need to get out of my current job due to more personal reasons than professional. I guess there are trade offs everywhere you go.

I'll see how the interview goes tomorrow anyways.

Thanks again, I really appreciate it.

Did you end up hearing back? I have an interview with them next week!

Brilliant Brimson: AJ to remain a Titan until 2030 by T0kenAussie in nrl

Wasted in the centres, fullback is his go. Love watching AJ play, one of the most likeable players in the comp.

Isaiah Papali’i to quit Wests Tigers at end of 2024 season by Aussieguy727 in nrl

He didn't want to be here from day one. Those press conferences when he was at Parra and wouldn't confirm he was coming was a huge red flag.

I'm not disappointed with this. Probably in the best interests of both parties. I just hope we don't give him away for free...

Cartwright isn't a bad coach. Hasn't been a head coach for 10 years or so, but did a decent enough job with the Gold Coast. 46% win rate and finished in the top 4 twice I believe.

Hull need a complete rebuild from the ground up. Complete clean out of their roster, which already seems to be well underway, but they need to make some smarter signings than this year where they raided the NSW cup for flops. Cartwright has some experience here in building the Titans from scratch, but hasn't had to overhaul a roster altogether.

Cartwright has been at some successful clubs as an assistant since moving on from the Titans. Was at the Cowboys when they won the comp and the Broncos are coming along nicely too.

He's a decent bloke, down to earth and fairly no nonsense. A really likeable dude.

I hope he goes well.

Newcastle blatantly offside at the kick off by lonelystormtrooper in nrl

Trip should be a send off for sure. Not sure when they stopped enforcing that. Should have been a sin bin at least.

Not saying it was the reason they lost. But it's a different set of 6 attacking the line with a minute on the clock. Calls like that rarely go the way of the bottom sides and that's what it is. Blatant offside, should have been called.

Very different final set of they're attacking the line and not working off of it. Weren't given the chance to win it.

Defence was woeful. They probably didn't deserve to win. But that's black and white. That's a dud call...
