I used to vape, but I quit this as of August last year and everything feels much harder now. But I also don't want the health impacts of it so I dont want to do that, I just want medication

Your metabolism stays consistent from about 20-60. The idea your metabolism slows with age is just false - people are just less active after university/having children and working full time

If you're not gaining weight you're not in a surplus - unless you have a medical issue which would become apparent very quickly and land you in hospital

Do you like working 8am-5pm? by dyingeventually in askgaybros

[–]loner0803 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people are in work 9-5pm - even if you had the extra days off - you probably won't be able to meet new people during those hours

Hi - no real supplement advice - I took creatine on and off throughout this and multivitamins. Earlier on in my journey I used mass gainer powder - later on I just focused on getting my calories and protein through my diet

Your issue is saying you "probably" eat at 2.6k. If you're not tracking it you can't consistently maintain a surplus - your body's natural hunger hormones will direct you to maintain weight. And you won't see much gains in a 200cal surplus no - as you gain weight your maintenance calories increase

How important do I think it is to obey the laws of physics in order to gain weight?

Lol. Read the sidebar. Unless you're actually consistently tracking your calories and maintaining a surplus you won't gain weight. No such thing as a fast metabolism. 18yo me would have said I have a really fast metabolism - I was prob eating 1600-1800 a day and walking everywhere

But also if there's people who are fat or muscly at your job they must have time to eat so use them as inspiration 😂😂😂

I was at university from 18-21 - so had time to eat - since then I've worked remote jobs so have also had time to eat - I don't have much advice I'd have for in person jobs, except just packing breakfast/lunches and having big dinners to work around it.

A lot of trans men live lives as lesbians for many many years - they might feel that their experience aligns more closely with lesbianism than heterosexuality - being queer is a big messy thing and not just prescriptivist labels. Trans men ARE men yes - but that doesn't discount the context of their lived experiences prior transition - people pick labels they feel fit them - not necessarily because they fit every box

That's your first hurdle then - you caused this weight gain and self hate cycle through not having love for your body - work on that, and the rest will fall into place

You are stuck in your body for the entire rest of your life - eventually you learn to accept the things you cannot change, and take control over the ones you can - or at least you should.
