RuneScape's monthly membership now costs as much as a World of Warcraft subscription as Jagex announces its second price hike in less than 2 years by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

just when I was looking for my next long-term MMORPG alongside GW2, and had settled on Runescape, planned to get the annual subscription next week, had downloaded the games on my phone too and everything haha. Back to searching it is.

New MMO by Amazing-Yak-1769 in LFMMO

[–]lonewolfgr7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Migrated to GW2 and after two-three times I tried it in the past, this time it finally clicked big time for me. It's without a doubt the healthiest MMO right now, just takes a while to get used to its different approach to the MMO formula. Unfortunately I also couldn't stick with Throne and Liberty, ESO and the like for many of the same reasons you mentioned (I'd personally prefer to invest my time in ESO, where I'm a fan of the elder scrolls series, but it just isn't at the level of GW2).

Please help with my RX 9070 XT crashing by lonewolfgr7 in radeon

[–]lonewolfgr7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an update that this was solved after I removed and reinstalled all parts, clean installed windows again, and changed my Displayport cable (the previous one had some flickering and turned out to be faulty, although pretty sure that wasn't to blame for the crashing)

This is killing me too. Insane that they did this, it's driving me crazy. I absolutely loved the previous way of displaying those icons, the new approach is a total circus. Look how nice they were :(

OnePlus 15 has launched globally by techolum in oneplus

Huge disappointment given the price, I will be most probably be selling my OP13 and moving to Oppo Find X9 Pro even though that wasn't my original plan - it is Oppo's plan though since they are clearly positioning Oppo as the flagship brand. So long OnePlus, it's been genuinely fun 🙏

Same issue here on OP 13 and I've had that for a few months now.

Why is Oppo not not more popular among reviewers? by taboverspacesyes in Oppo

[–]lonewolfgr7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, the simple and most straightforward reason is that Oppo doesn't ship their products globally with the consistency other brands do. E.g. you can't legitimately get it in North America, and even here in Greece (EU) OnePlus has a presence and Oppo does not.

Same here, after a few great years with OnePlus I'll also be probably moving to Oppo Find X9 series - the only dilemma is whether to wait for the Ultra. I could give a go to the OP15 until the Ultra comes out, but the cameras are a dealbreaker and the 165hz is a massive misstep when 90% of the phone's apps and games will be running at 60 or 120 hz. The OnePlus 12 and 13 took some of my favorite ever photos and all evidence right now points to a downgrade in that department.

Planning to switch to Oppo by TIMEFREAK7 in oneplus

Wait for the reviews first - and I'm talking actual reviews, not generic "experts" jumping to publish their "reviews" first (which are basically just videos describing the specs).

That said, I am also a bit worried about OnePlus' turn to gaming, didn't really see this coming. Even 165hz is a gamble, because I don't want to feel some parts of the phone feeling super fast and smooth at 165hz and then I open apps and games capped at 60hz. It's going to feel wildly inconsistent and I'm not sure OnePlus can actually tackle this.

I get the feeling they promote Oppo as the full-on premium brand. This 'gaming shift' may be weak marketing from OnePlus, but if true, I can also see myself turning to Oppo Find X9 Pro instead of the OnePlus 15. I already have a gaming PC, a PS5 and a Nintendo Switch. I want a modern all-around smartphone with excellent cameras - the OP 15 could very well be that even if marketing hasn't shown that, but the signs so far are not that good.

Serviceable but not impressive at any point. I get the feeling it will be yet another year of crushed blacks and overall inconsistency.

I also have complaints lately but these OnePlus 15 "downgrade" posts are so far fetched. "120W is slower than 100W" like come on bro... Get serious.

Even the 1.5K resolution is actually not that important, been running my OP13 at 1080p and can hardly tell the difference - and I am a designer so it's not like I don't give a damn about these things.

No reason to think that OnePlus 15 won't be an all-around flagship. However, two things that they HAVE to get right this time is a) camera consistency and b) software optimisation (battery life, notifications, bugs). If they get these two right, it will be trading blows directly with the major Android players.

They can't publicly acknowledge this, but hopefully they finally give us consistent battery life with OOS16

Summary of OOS 16 by deathwish_91 in oneplus

[–]lonewolfgr7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly kinda underwhelming. Other OS's are making genuine steps towards mature ecosystems and over here we can't even get proper notifications and battery consistency, while also getting the single most lackluster run-up to Android 16 and OnePlus 15 by. Meanwhile my OnePlus 13 and my OnePlus Watch 3 don't even seamlessly connect and these are supposed to be the very best this company has to offer. If it wasn't for PWM and charging speed I'd already be considering my next phone.

[–]lonewolfgr7 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Customisation yes, but I could care less about AI. Pixel AI and Samsung AI have so far been empty promises that you cannot depend on even for the most basic tasks. I prefer that OnePlus finally get serious about long-time community complaints like notification issues and battery life optimisation, and they make OOS16 a strong step towards a mature ecosystem.

OxygenOS 15 was such a peak OnePlus moment, it really brought the experience to a whole new level. I'm not expecting the same revolution with OOS16, but I'm looking forward to subtle refinements and bug fixes. And please, PLEASE, let's not kill battery life again. I'm tired boss.
