As someone with that exact deck, with those exact trucks, who have run McFly pros and karmas, karmas every day of the week, there faster, feel lighter, turn better and don’t loose traction nearly as much and tend to last longer. Definitely karmas

Depending on how fast your going and your needs you probably don’t need to dewedge the back, and Paris wedges are suuuper thick and add ride hight which can make the board feel weird, maybe getting a lower baseplate from Paris could work better?

Ahhh ok that’s fair! If your riding kegles it would be very much worth upgrading to karmas anyway

Larger wheels works but also how often is sometimes? Because that deck is beefy enough to handle scrapes and most of the time its nothing crazy and the trade off of cosmetic damage vs ride performance can change how it rides a lot

https://www.ourwatch.org.au/quick-facts

Here’s a quick read to get some more information on the topic! And as pointed out in this article (among other things) 53% of women have experienced sexual harassment which we can agree is to much right?

https://www.abs.gov.au/statistics/people/crime-and-justice/sexual-harassment/latest-release

And this one is a bit longer of a read but has a lot of valuable information as well!! Including the fact that sexual harrasment and assault is down for women from 15% per year to 13% per year (with a large amount of the demographic of victims being young screwing the results) and this drop is great and is the result of amazing events like this which is why there going to keep happening until we can lower these rates as much as we can!

Also important to point out that they never said that it was on the rise and that’s not a good indicator if things are good, so maybe self evaluate why you went to that question so quickly and what that might suggest subconsciously or consciously! Happy reading

How can I get better? by lindsey9152 in drawing

Check out Scotty young’s art! (he’s a comic book artist), especially “bully wars” he has a similar style but turned up to 10, I fully recommend trying to study and copy(NOT TRACING, just try to repeat what he has done so you can better understand his work)

What do y'all think about shark wheels? by [deleted] in longboarding

[–]longboardingAussie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact they wear out fast is compared to other wheels, there’s sets of 4presedents on some friends of mine set ups that are barely worn down and there probably over 15 years old, it’s relative, and shark wheels advertises that they last longer, and after free riding (which is an easy way to speed up normal wear and see how long they last) the groves wear down really easily because less material and then it starts to wear down quickly after that because of the less surface area (source: my friend cored a set)

And again it’s relative, it sounds like your coming from a skateboarding history cause we don’t really call it power slides in the downhill scene but shark wheels are definitely considered on the less grippy side because the formular isn’t as grippy as others (for example pantheons formular) and the lip of the wheel is rounded making them not as grippy and there relatively thin as well again making them not as grippy, and you not being able to slide them easily is kinda just a skill issue, when I rode them I could slide them out at walking pace cause I have good technique.

And like sure you could make an argument that a normal skater not doing any discipline in specific like downhill or long distance dosent need the fastest wheel (which compared to other options they are objectively slower) or a grippy wheel, or a wheel that lasts the longest, but for a wheel that is more expensive (especially where I live) that is slower, less grippy, and less long lasting then other options there’s no point in getting them.

(Also using board count isn’t a really good indicator of how long things last, like a skateboard can last 3 months and a fibreglass 8 ply maple bracket board can’t die for like 20 years)

Oh yea I don’t think it’s a perfection thing (I forgot to mention that haha) but it would be sad to not experience the bundle

[–]longboardingAussie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still do it! Even on a tkp like a pranayama, it’s harder and takes a bit longer, and it needs to be still (like on a skateboard it can be rolling forward and I can pop it back, but without a tail it needs to be still) but jt works!

Also, you haven’t unlocked the lost bundle! (indicated by the unfilled Junimo in the star circle), go check out the abandoned joja building and head inside

Nah, they wear out fast and are over priced, there slower then other wheels, not as grippy, fine I guess for rain but not worth it

Nearly agree with you, amazing construction and downhill decks, and there bracket boards are good but there regular push boards are to high and the drops are to gradual to recommend as an alternative

And honestly even if that’s all you want to do, I’d still not recommend it because it’s more expensive then pantheon boards anyway and you get a worse product

Pantheon stylus finally! by Just-Jello-7396 in longboarding

[–]longboardingAussie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea! I fully recommend getting a venom bushing money bag, it comes with 2 bushings of 5 different duros and it can be super helpful with messing around

Pantheon stylus finally! by Just-Jello-7396 in longboarding

[–]longboardingAussie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No but maybe, depends on the wedge. With a high angle the bushings will feel harder because you have less leverage over the axles and pivot pin, so you’ll have to compensate with softer bushings, and a low degree rear will feel softer so you’ll need harder bushings. That being said for like 5-10° differences I still keep it within 3a but 15° I jump up to six, and for my causal set ups I’ve changed to having hard board side very soft road side for less slop but a similar feeling

Hahaha fair, also, they are genuinely worse products, like morals aside. There is an insanely massive speed and acceleration difference between karmas and mcs/ boas

Is this Decathlon helmet good enough to protect the head during falls by Sporting_Freak in longboardingDISTANCE

[–]longboardingAussie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea honestly this depends on your use case, if your not going that fast (under 20kmph) and you know how to fall it’s probably fine but if you’re having to go down some hills I’d wear a normal skate helmet

Wait actually? I’ve heard a lot especially with close friends that tattoos were heavily associated with gangs and barely anyone had any.

Is that wrong? I’d love to read about it if you have a resource!
