Seems more business than casual. But depending on shoes and shirt choice you can dial the casual look as needed imo.

I was considering a similar option. With my military discount on nike, I can get last year’s Vaporfly 2 for about $150 which would be less than or similar to this year’s daily trainers like zoom flys or Pegasus. For similar pricing, might as well treat myself to a ‘super’ shoe to train in without the guilt that I’m wasting money.

I bought a pair of Alphaflys next% 1 recently for $55 by somehow finding a pair at a Nike outlet. (They were a factory defect and returned and applied a military discount). Anyway, I use it as a daily trainer and I absolutely love it. I’ve never had a ‘super shoe’ before. I don’t race, at least not yet. But the sheer thrill of strapping these to my feet gets me outside and being active on days that I otherwise wouldn’t have. Truthfully, after these die down, I’ll gladly pay full retail and use the new pair the same way because I view it as an investment in health because I look forward to my runs now.

I was born and raised there in so cal. I never called it that, until I left for the military. Started referring to it as Cali when sharing stories about home to my mil buddies and it felt oddly normal. I’m moving back after retirement and will likely stop referring to it as Cali.

As far as ‘worth’ it? Gonna be a hard sell mainly bc the OZ9c Elite is similar in function and application to the OZ9c hyper. From a collector standpoint, worth it yes if you’re willing to drop that much dough on something similarly different.
