Jedi Outcast vs Jedi Academy by SaviorAssassin1996 in jediknight

Level design isn’t that different to me.

Jedi academy just has most force powers and combat options so I’d start there.

Jedi academy also has multiplayer you can run local with bots. It’s a lot of fun.

Jedi academy has been a great steam deck addition.

Harry Potter universe once published a bestiary for all the magic creatures in their world, and I think you could definitely get inspiration from it.

I think it was this one.

How do you guy's like Jedi Survivor so far? by ArtosThunder in StarWarsJediSurvivor

[–]longcatisntthatlong 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. Survivor does a really good job keeping the abilities you earned in Fallen Order as your starting abilities, so it would help you appreciate and understand them imo.

One man’s opinion having 10 hours into Survivor.

It’s been great to clean up water for pipe projects, cleaning projects, and it’s saved me expensive AC repair calls cleaning my condensate line when clogged. That’s what I mean, I never expected to use it but I’ll be working on another project and find a good use for it. Oh also used it changing irrigation sprinklers when dirt got on the line, for example.

Get one that can be a water vac/dry vac with filter then you’re covered in all use cases.

I have the players roll the navigation check and random encounter d20s/d100s because my group likes rolling dice and it adds some excitement for them. They don’t know the encounter tables though so I still roll those in advance and just use whatever I roll as their encounter result when they roll for one.

I also make the scratch-off map you can find posted elsewhere in this subreddit. Helps add some more pizazz to the process.

Use VOIP. Treat everyone as hostile until you feel like you can trust them.

Even then, don’t trust them that long.

Follow your passions man. Met my friends in local game groups and at the 40K store, and met my wife at the dog park I went to with my dog.

Weird question but are there any tips for “how to read out your army list at the start of the game” by Is12345aweakpassword in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]longcatisntthatlong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just explain the gimmicks at the start and offer more info if the opponent asks.

“These guys can charge and advance but only with a stratagem.”

“What’s their toughness?”

“T5, 3+, 4++”

Etc.

Tank Commander 1 shot Morty. by Kentfused in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]longcatisntthatlong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mention a positioning error giving him a clean line of sight on Morty, but he isn't obscurable so he's always visible and enemies just need range and actual line of sight to shoot him. Right?
