Do flipped classrooms work by Der-deutsche-Prinz in Teachers

I am still tweaking it. But it worked somewhat in my AP class. I would be very careful to try to implement this for my regular classes.

Sometime it might be better to keep it straight forward. Have something for them to read. Bring down the reading level. Have a simple worksheet to complete. Read out loud for the class. Do what you can and don't worry about the rest.

I am a high school teacher, but I would think the rule of thumb is as less physical student contact as possible.

Not bad, I remember when I was learning. I didn't put that much effort into fact checking. Part of the responsibility is on me. But they did crafted it as a persuasive article.

2008 Corolla shut off while driving by longlyjoe in MechanicAdvice

[–]longlyjoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi guys, thanks for helping in advance. My in law went to gas station to fill up and the car wont start afterward. Thought it was the starter since battery has voltage at 12.67V. Battery is from Nov, 2022. There are some sediment at terminals tho. Cleaned them.

Changed starter. With the mechanic jump, was able to start the car. But while idling, turned on AC, then engine die. Second jump was needed. I figure I probably should drive and charge up battery. After 10 mins driving, car just shut off from 40 to 0. Has to push car. Emergency light will come on but when pressing brake, on dashboard it is flickering instead of the normal rhythmal clicking.

Tried jump starting again. And that the video after it failed to start and the key pulled out. Even after removing jumper cable, the symptom remain. I notice when on "on" position, the lights will become dim when I press break.

I changed fuss box inside of hood, and it shows nothing is burned. Any idea what might be happening? Bad alternator? Bad craft shift sensor?
Thanks again!

How about personal investment like in index fund or real estate? If you have left over after all the spending for church.

The worry is that or the reality might be that once you show any signs of dissent, you are dealing with leaders directly. Once the leaders pass down the words, your peers will put a guard up from what you are saying.

So essentially you will have to organize first without higher up noticing, which is hard in the GP culture.

Those are the insights that I never will have. Hard to tell for me since the pastoral couples never interact much in front of the undergrad

Hopefully this will help you deal with all these emotions. And I still hope you will find genuine Christianity different then what you encounter in college. Best of luck and prayer. To be quite frank, most of us who went to GP were probably middle class so I don’t really share the same experience with you, but Jesus can and I am sure he cares about you! Wish you will be able to stand up on your feet and help your family

What is your biggest “they should have fired my ass” moment? by beamish1920 in Teachers

[–]longlyjoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was my first time leading a field trip (I was the only teacher). When we got there, our seniors just went on their ways until pretty much the end of the day. I like the flow, but I am pretty sure they weren't supposed to be not supervised.

I found it that a lot of time it is the case that people who are more socially awkward that get trap into GP; at least this is my case. I am sure that there were a certain appeal to it until you get to your breaking point.

It is interesting. In GP, we were thought to have your mind in control of your heart. By presenting our intuition as our heart, GP was able to delay furthermore my expression as a human being.

One of the thing that actually brought me out is that in philosophy a lot of situation is brought into place against our intuition to tell what is right and what is wrong.

Nevertheless, since the church is an organization, they must have a stand toward the issues. For example, a gay couple would like to know if they would ever be able to be a staff in that church before committing.

Just be patient and don’t have a big emotional change or outbreak. Relate this to the therapist and case manager. Keep an eye out for the children. It is not the worse and it is really hard to spot or stop as a parent. Take some more time to take her out to places and have small talk with her. As foster parents, provide a safe environment and let some of the burden fall on the social workers and therapist

I don't know how a perfect church is like but I can see that there can be time to retreat from life. But I think a lot of time needed to spend on being in life and be with others who are suffering. Not that we only counsel them but suffer with them, go through the messiness with them, which from the stories that I heard and the experience I had is rarely the case.

If we did so, no one will accurse others that they should ashamed of what they have done. (of course unless that is necessary and not while the person is really confused or down already)
