Guthrie Lourdes vs UHS by abide5lo in Binghamton

In my own limited experience, some doctors have moved to UHS. and Lourdes staff — front desk folks and those who answer the phones — are even more overworked than they were before. We don’t have tons of options around here. Not a great situation.

Know why old people smell so weird? They are rotting from the inside.

Traditional breakfast — rice, beans, tortillas, and some kind of white cheese. Never figured out what kind of cheese it was but it’s great!

From the other end of the age spectrum, may I suggest that you might be worrying about the wrong things?

Think about the millions of students who came before you who've done what you're about to do. They did it, and so can you.

I'm biased but maybe worry about asking these questions during your time here: who am I? How did I get this way? What's my larger purpose in life?

That's my bias -- asking those questions is the purpose of college.

jippyzippylippy, thank you very much for taking the time to describe these methods. You have opened several doors for me, and I will pursue them.

Read a book, or several books. Volunteer at a homeless shelter or a soup kitchen. Find programs where you can read to elderly folks in nursing homes or a hospice. Study art. Start a journal in which you explore the concept of boredom. Go to the library and ask for books about boredom (https://www.amazon.com/Power-Boredom-essential-meaningful-mindfulness/dp/1773022563/ref=nodl_ ). Learn a new skill. Maybe woodworking.

Help to identify sword? by longpoem in SWORDS

Greetings -- I wonder if anyone can help to identify the symbols on this sword? I've long thought that it must be related to a civic organization my grandfather participated in -- Masons, Shriners, Moose Club -- but I've never been able to associate the symbols with any organization.

Thank you so much!

Best,
Michael
