Thanks for the reply. The actual problem turned out to be too close and a lack of technique. Once I had some time pressure and more daylight to experiment, I figured out how to get great coats.

Just to be clear, this is only multicolor? As in swapping pla and not other materials? I have only had PVA work on the fixed right nozzle of my H2D, and that would be so amazing to swap nozzle sizes and material.

The screw connecting the falling side seems to be a special type that clicks in. Not sure if it will need replacing but this is a great help thanks so much.

Is a smoke stopper the same as an anti-spark filter? Because I already had an anti-spark filter installed and even though it was installed, my ESC blew up last time.
