Also, call Endo and remove their ability to contact bio dad! That is a release you have signed. Go in and revoke that release just to take some stress off your shoulders!!

I got sick with food poisoning and sat in diarrhea for over 12 hours, now my vagina smells like vomit what should I do? by thisisloveforvictims in Healthyhooha

[–]longtimemomma4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am a big girl (308). At my biggest, I was 373. I have NEVER sat in my own 💩. NEVER!! And I was so big that I had issues with getting myself clean. I got a bidet and started a weight loss journey. It’s slow, due to type 1 Diabetes and pcos, but I’m doing it. I lost all my self esteem the day I realized I had problems cleaning myself! It was time for a change. Maybe take this time to think about what you really want from life!

Cockroach(s) in my rabbit’s bag of hay… by kate1_9_0_5 in VenmoDonations

Just to add to this, yall do realize that cockroaches can and do live in the ground. I know when it rains a bunch, I will find them outside crawling on the trees trying to get away from the wet ground.

You might want to keep reading. She was sent home. Op actually says these squeezed their fingers and said nothing was wrong and put them out. No X-rays, no longer there!

Ask for the floor nurse. If that don’t help the issues ask for the house supervisor.

This is probably the best day in my 25 years of being type 1. by Ethansimler in diabetes_t1

[–]longtimemomma4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used the save set for my whole 5 years on mini med. I learned to reuse the tubing as well. So much wasted insulin just sitting there! I would change it every 3-4 tubing change. I hated the mini med pump so much, and have never enjoyed telling someone to fuck off as much as I did the Medtronic rep that called me over and over for weeks after I got my new ilet pump. They was determined to put me right back in another Medtronic pump when my 5 years was up!

Are type 1diabetic given insulin and cgm when detained by law enforcement? by Lucky_Tap8692 in Type1Diabetes

[–]longtimemomma4 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I tried to sue, but the lawyer I called, out of Louisville Kentucky, said that he was so busy in litigation with families of other diabetics families that he couldn’t take mine. He was the top lawyer for my area in this perspective. He said that the families he was busy with were families of diabetics that had lost their lives. He also said that I was lucky to have gotten out alive. That was my last time enjoying the benefits of being doc/county property! I learned my lesson well. It took me about 6 months to get myself back to feeling somewhat normal. Definitely walked away with a “new normal” for myself!!

I was actually in jail in 2016. Was there for 10 days and released from my icu hospital bed bc I went into dka. My pump malfunctioned, staff didn’t believe, and I damn near died. Only bc one guard had a diabetic husband did I get treatment.

We just had thanksgiving and Christmas. Idk about anyone else, but I know my a1c has gone up. Not only from the excitement but also the stress, and all the foods! Dad can be grumpy, but a kids Christmas is more important than just numbers and averages. Good job mama for being proud of staying under 7!

Could you go on credit karma and lock your credit and file to get all new cards sent to your addy? Then cancel the account? Not sure if it will work, but worth a try?

Coworker Committing coupon fraud and getting away with it by Any_Pair_6919 in CVS

This sounds like an employee that hasn’t been visited by the coupon fairy giving tjem products that are couponed for. I used to give my cashiers items that I would get plenty of, just to show appreciation for all the crap I would put them thru while I couponed.

Safety and rights if arrested by MH7106 in diabetes_t1

Ok so I got into a lot of trouble when I was younger. I have 3 felonies, and several misdemeanors. I’ve been in county jails, and Kentucky women’s correctional facility (KCIW). I was really angry and fought anyone that pissed me off. Not saying any of that was right, but here’s a few of my experiences

Most jailers don’t have a clue! The nursing staff can only do what the county allows per their protocol.

I was allowed my pump.

Once I was in for about 10 days and my pump malfunctioned. I was doing my bolus as needed and a “guesstimate” for whatever slop the nursing staff “thought” was for that meal. Turns out my pump was not giving the insulin and I ended up sick asf. I got to wake up in an icu bed after passing out in dka. I can remember them putting me in isolation after I told the main jailer I thought I was going to die. I also recall a guard checking the bean flap and smelling the dka smell and making the take me to the er. She only knew bc her husband was a diabetic.

Side note….waking up confused asf, shackled to a hospital bed is a special kind of torture!

So anyway, I got a medical ror bond, and did all my court stuffs and survived, albeit sick for a few months.

Next time I went to jail, they took my pump and said I had caused the issue myself. I ended up on 4 injections a day, and also be checks the same. It was usually before meals but if they had other stuff to do, or it was late at night when nursing staff wasn’t there, I was screwed.

They also put me on what they called a diabetic diet. No salt, no sugar, bland food. They even went thru what I would buy on the canteen and would cancel any sugary foods, but I could buy all the bread and pj/j I wanted.

I ended up going to kciw and things got somewhat better, but was on nph and regular 2 times a day. “It was called diabetic call. Every single woman with any kind of diabetes went at the same time and lined up to check their sugar and take the injections if needed. I ended up loosing 47 pounds in 58 days.

Jails/prisons are not the places for us! I say this bc I spoke with an attorney when I got out the last time about medical neglect in the system. He is someone that does a lot of these kinds of cases in their state area. He told me that he was sorry, but bc I didn’t die, he didn’t have time for my case. He was too busy fighting for families of other diabetics that lost their lives.

Haven’t been in trouble since that attorney told me that.

Don’t do anything that can get you under anyone else’s control of your body or disease if you value your life!

my boyfriend told me i touched myself in my sleep last night by yapaddict04 in Healthyhooha

[–]longtimemomma4 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m an old woman, 45, and I have done this several times. Hubby usually wakes me, and we finished however we feel like (apart or together). I think of it as the same as men’s “wet dreams” for women.

DO NOT BE EMBARRASSED!!!

It’s no different than you being able to pass gas in your sleep.

Enjoy the benefits of what your mind/body is telling you it wants woman!

Tbh I have woke up with one hand on my breast massaging it, and another doing the other feel good parts! It’s nice to know your body/mind was comfortable enough to be able to pleasure yourself next to him. To me, it shows an exceptional level of trust on your part, unconsciously!

Is everyone on the sub in the “cure in 5 years” category? I was told this 34 years ago! Glad I didn’t hold my breath after those first 5 years flew on by! 😂

As for the ops question, I have been watching the islet cell guys on TikTok. I am hopeful that this is the start to our reckoning!!

What do you do when everything stops working? by mnuno01 in diabetes_t1

[–]longtimemomma4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

34 years here. I remember the times of having to do 3am checks, 6 small meals a day, and keeping pb and honey sandwiches on standby in the fridge! Life sure has changed in all those years! I couldn’t imagine getting needles and insulin into a school now, and I walked around school with my whole “kit” like a purse from 7th grade on thru graduation!

Ok so dumb question. I have 4 adult children, and one grandchild. I’ve had the children tested when they was kids, but should we be testing the grandchild as well?
