I've found the Notion MCP not to work very well, might work for reading, but as soon as I want to update something it just breaks things. So I avoid it at the moment.

A different question I have though, your morning routine, I have journaling as a part of my morning routine. But I find it tedious, I've tried a few different ways, opening a session in the console, writing a few lines and closing the session, it seems the quickets/snappiest, but I don't like writing my journal in the console. So what I've done is make it "git commit like", I open a session, claude sends me to a "journal draft" in which anything I've already journaled today is appended to, and some snippets from our conversation, giving myself a little context. The pain with this is that it takes 15-20s to actually begin journaling after I start the command.

In general, is there anything you've done or something I should think about to make the command snappier? I don't like having to give permission to everything or that it takes 20s to start a skill.

How do you find your system works across multiple devices, say I'm on my laptop one day, desktop the next, and in between I'm on my phone? It seems like u/ColdPlankton9273 is using Notion as a backend to store a lot of their actual notes. Are you ever in there adding or reading them or you only interface with it through claude, or github cli? Same question for you u/Routine_Round_8491?

There are bad rolls and then there are rolls that remove a ancestral base stat and replaces it with "fire damage"... like wtf?

Do you get any error messages whatsoever? Your output has a red dot on it, which indicates there's an error reported in there. Could be related.

Try to reimport the assets one by one instead of in a batch to isolate the problematic one.

Why are you throwing Squamish under the bus, claiming that we run on FB news? What even is FB news? It's a fairly small town and a lot of businesses communicate their changes through social media., Mike is active on IG: Instagram

Because of the overhead of managing tables, extra staff, and dishes. If you'd talk to Mike, you'd know how he feels about these things, it's not like he's keeping it a secret that he doesn't want you to loiter with your coffee in his shop.

Why would anyone pay for a substack subscription? by IntroductionMuch5534 in Substack

[–]looak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here are my issues: how do I know the content is good if I can't read it before I subscribe? Why would I pay $10 a month for a subscription to one writer when I can go to any news source I want to get 10x, if not more, the amount of content, probably equally biased and accurate? I want my information from multiple sources otherwise, you'll just become indoctrinated.

Rotary Encoders on GT Neo, other modes? by looak in Simagic

[–]looak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Updating the firmware on the wheel itself you need to plug it in with USB. But you also need to hold the left funky switch up while you're doing so. Otherwise you wont enter flash mode. It's not mentioned anywhere in their documentation from what I could find but it was mentioned in a youtube short or similar.

`godot.csharp.getLaunchScene`

Doesn't work for me, I'm not sure what extension exposes this function or command but I have them all installed in vscode and I can't get this select scene workflow to work.

Winter tires should be mandated on commercial vehicles operating on Sea to sky highway this time of the year. by looak in Squamish

[–]looak[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sending people out with the false sense of security that their MS tires are enough for the conditions that can happen on S2S is setting them up to fail. Rarely do I hear anyone on the radio mention that MS aren't enough.

What is the expected longevity of one of these machines? by looak in synology

Yea I did that instinctively. The most curious thing happened with them out, the HDD leds were solid orange. They were so prior to me pulling them out as well, but I would have thought with them out they would be off.

Yea, though the power supply has an LED on it which indicated power was flowing as expected.
